IV. PROCEDURE
A. Reviewing previous lesson or
presenting new lesson
The students will play " Pass the banana" wherein the peels of the banana has questions and
the student should answer it.
Questions:
a. What is a volcano?
b. How volcanoes are classified?
B. Establishing a purpose for the
lesson
Pressent pictures of the volcanic eruptions. Select students by picking a rolled papers
containing their names. Draw out the ideas through asking questions.
Questions:
a. What can you observed on the pictures?
b. What type of volcanic can you see on that picture?
c. Why is it that volcanoes erupted differently?
C. Presenting examples
/ instances of the new lesson
Using pictures, the teacher will call some volunteer students to describe or explain what they
already know about the classification of volcanoes and the types of volcanic eruptions.
D. Discussion new concepts and
practicing new skills # 1
The teacher will discuss now the classifications of volcanoes, the types of volcanic eruptions
and the different types of volcanic cones.
E. Discussing new concepts and
practicing new skills # 2
The teacher will presents some examples of the three volcanic cones and the types of volcanic
eruptions found in the Philippines
F. Developing mastery
Some selected students will pick a strip of paper that contain question and then he/ she will
answer respectively.
Questions:
a. What are the 5 types of volcanic eruptions? Name each and describe.
b. What are the three types of volcanic cones? Name and describe each.

concepts and skills in daily living
The students should be able to answer the importance of volcanic eruptions.

Using a concept map, pictures and tables, the student will respond to what is asked. This will
sum up what they have learned throughout the session.
