Literature of Cloud Computing
Cloud Computing provides us A means by which we can access the applications and files
through Internet. It also allow us to modify the Applications and files via online.
Cloud computing is an expression used to describe a variety of computing concepts that
involve a large number of computers connected through a real-time communication network
such as the Internet. The National Institute of Standards and Technology's definition of cloud
computing identifies "five essential characteristics”

What is Cloud
The term Cloud refers to a Network or Internet. In other words, we can say
that Cloud is something, which is present at remote location. Cloud can
provide services over network, i.e., on public networks or on private

Deployment Models
Deployment models define the type of access to the cloud, i.e.,
how the cloud is located? Cloud can have any of the four types
of access: Public, Private, Hybrid and Community

The Public Cloud allo-ws
systems and service -es to be
easily accessible to the
general public. Public cloud
may be less secure because
of its openness, e.g., e-mail.

Public Cloud Private Cloud Hybrid Cloud Community Cloud
The Private Cloud allows
systems and services to be
accessible within an
organization. It offers
increased security because of
its private nature.
The Community Cloud allows
systems and services to be
accessible by group of
organizations.
The Hybrid Cloud is mixture
of public and private

Service Model
Service Models are the reference models on which the Cloud Computing is
based. These can be categorized into three basic service models as listed
below:
8
• Usually billed based on usage
• Can be coupled with Managed Services for OS
• EX:GRID, BLIZARD
Infrastructure as a
Service (IaaS)
• PaaS provides all of the facilities required to support the complete life cycle
• EX: Amazon Web service, Joyent
Platform as a Service
(PaaS)
•Usually billed based on usage
•Usually multi tenant environment
•Ex: Google, Facebook
Software as a Service
(SaaS)

Cloud Computing in developing
countries
The advantages of adopting cloud can be profound for government IT
departments, starting with the reduction or redirection of on-site IT staff as
well as the ability to access IT resources and infrastructure as needed. The
importance of having a cloud computing strategy is becoming more
obvious on a daily basis. A lot of companies are moving towards this
interesting technology.

Cloud computing adoption speed in Bangladesh is not equal to
world cloud adoption speed. Limited companies in Bangladesh
are working on cloud service provision.
