2. Identity
Joshua was born and raised in
Germany. Growing up in a
military family I learned at an
early age about working hard,
discipline, and to always have
goals. My father got me
involved in sports since I was
little and played many sports
like basketball, soccer, and
track & field in high school.
Joshua enrolled in the
sportscasting degree program
at Full Sail University in 2019 to
develop my skills to become
the best sportscaster I can be.

5. Goals
• Short term goals(Immediately after graduation 2021) land an
entry level position at a local news station like WESH 2 News.
I will build my network via LinkedIn by 20% as I enter a new
career field and work my way towards getting to ESPN.
• Mid Term (2026) I will have experience reporting on many
big events like the Super Bowl and plan to cover the 2026
World Cup in the USA for Fox Sports
• Long Term (2041) I will be fortunate to experience a lot in
sports media field working for NBC, FOX, and ESPN and plan
to comeback to Full Sail University and want to talk to
students about my experience with future sportscasters and
help lead the next wave of talent into the industry.

and embed videos from my interviews to post on
the site

• To complete Sportscasting program by expected graduation (April 2021)

• Develop my skills in Video editing, use the OBS Software program to post content,
and familiarize myself with the Adobe Creative Cloud Software such as Adobe
Premier Pro to build with my sports blog and podcast

• Improve writing skills in broadcast journalism and use these skills to write more
content for more sports websites

• Join the Sportscasting Mentorship program by Spring 2020 and take advantage of
training and networking opportunities

14. Elevator Pitch
ESPN has always been looking for
ways to increase content to reach
their sports fans. I can help them with
bringing experience from local news
station in Orlando covering minor and
Pro sports. At my last station I
brought over $200,000 in revenue to
help them with TV sponsorship for
our sports digital content and feel
with my honest, trust, and personality
can bring exciting sports stories to
the network and continue to serve
sports fans everywhere.
