SMA Vehicle Refurbishment’s principal activities are new
vehicle preparation, used vehicle refurbishment and
accident repair.
Our unique state-of-the-art production line facilities enables
us to guarantee our clients industry leading turn round
times. At SMA Vehicle Refurbishment we emphasise on
repair rather than replace, adopting the most cost effective
repair method for our customers, and endorsed by vehicle
manufacturers.

SMA Vehicle Refurbishment operate a state-of-the-art
production line facility capable of processing 7,000 vehicles
per annum on a single shift basis, and can accommodate all
types of vehicle damage from SMART repair through to
major accident damage. This is alongside our PDI facility
which is also capable of processing up to 10,000 vehicles
per annum.

SMA Vehicle Remarketing is the largest independent
auction group in the UK with over 42 years’
experience in the industry and an unrivalled
reputation for quality of service. We have five sites
across the country and offer in excess of 300,000
vehicles per annum. Our vendors include: vehicle
manufacturers, daily rental companies, local
authorities, fleet, contract hire & leasing companies
as well as motor dealer groups, independent dealers
and traders. We sell most of our vehicles, plant &
equipment into the motor trade but a significant
proportion of our evening sales are attended by
members of the public.
We achieve excellent prices for vehicles on account
of our meticulous planning and marketing. We also
have a passionate following among buyers.
Our strength is our people, many of whom have been
with us since the beginning and it is this that ensures
that the personal touch is central to what we do.

SMA Fleet Services is in a unique position within the UK Fleet
Services sector offering Vehicle Body Repair as a direct part of
the group. This means that our customers only have to liaise
with one supplier for our facilities in Birmingham, Edinburgh and
Leeds.
All of our sites have paint & SMART repair facilities. We use the
latest paint technologies and repair techniques to keep in line
with our manufacturer approved accreditation.
We have a comprehensive range of facilities for all refurbishment
activity.

SMA New Vehicle Preparation
All of our sites have the capability to prepare vehicles to exact
manufacturer standards.
We are experienced in managing vehicle preparation to
minimize in-fleet times and provide a just in time PDI service and
onward delivery to the rental operator, employee or addition to
a press or demonstration fleet.
Each year we carry out in excess of 20,000 pre-delivery
inspections (PDI) for both cars and LCV’s.
We adhere to individual manufacturers specifications which can
include the following:

SMA New Vehicle Preparation
As with all areas of our business, new vehicle preparation is a
high volume, process-driven service, backed by technology,
which controls and tracks the flow of vehicles through the entire
operation.
We also have the facility to store physical items that can range
from spare keys to ad hoc loose items, removed from vehicles
before being added to the fleet. These items are then
repatriated at the end of the vehicles life.
