Evidence-Based Interventions Include:
- "Safe Crisis Management" (SCM): A comprehensive training curriculum focused on preventing and
managing crisis events. Safe Crisis Management has a trauma-sensitive approach with emphasis on
building positive relationships with individuals.
- "Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy" (TF-CBT): A psychosocial treatment model
designed to treat posttraumatic stress and related emotional and behavioral problems in children and
adolescents.
- "Juvenile Sexual Offender Treatment - Pathways": The Pathways workbook has been a cornerstone in
the treatment of sexually aggressive youth since the first edition was issued twenty years ago.
- “The Seven Challenges”: A unique model in that it is evidenced-based for at-risk youth who have
struggled with dug and alcohol use.
- “GriefWork for Teens”: An evidence-based nine week grief and loss program designed to help grieving
teens heal from their losses.
- “Pheonix Curriculum”: A core evidence-based gang intervention program.
- “The Council for Boys and Young Men”: A strengths-based group approach to promote young men’s
safe and healthy passage through adolescent years. In this structured environment, young men gain the vital
opportunity to address masculine definitions and behaviors and build their capacities to find their innate
value.
- “Aggression Replacement Training”: A ten week group training session for each of Aggression
Replacement Training’s targeted interventions: Social Skills Training, Anger Control Training, and Moral
Reasoning.
- “Girls Circle”: A structured support group for adolescent girls which integrates relational theory,
resiliency practices, and skills training. It is designed to increase positive connection, strengths, and
competence.
- “InsideOut Dad”: A National Fatherhood Initiative’s, the InsideOut Dad program is the only evidenced-
based program for working with incarcerated fathers. It connects inmate fathers to their families and helps
break the cycle of recidivism by helping men reflect on their own family histories, build fathering skills,
communication, relationship skills, and find practical ways to connect with their children.
- “Lakeside Academy Juvenile Fire Setting Curriculum”: A psychoeducational and group-oriented
program focused on educating and understanding their “interest in fire” and how it relates to cognitive and
motivational components. Group focuses primarily on orientation, psychoeducation, victim empathy, and
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
