EXPERIENCE
UTI Worldwide • Airfreight Warehouse
March 2010 - Present • 3717 Wilson Road, Atlanta, GA 30354 (404) 762-1887
• Hired 3/2010 Part-Time, hired on 8/2010 Full-time.
• Daily duties associated with Hartsfield Jackson Airport freight shipping.
• Worked primarily on inbound side of warehouse my first couple of years here; cross-trained
on all outbound sides of UTI including: On Hands, Gateway, and Griffols.
• On Hands (Export side)-Daily obligations involve receiving freight from dedicated truck lines
(Southeastern, Accelerated, JP Hall, Contract Air, Averitt, Forward Air, FedEx, UPS, etc) &
preparing said shipments for transfer to UTI’s Gateway department. This process involves
physically weighing & dimming freight as well as inputting correct shipment information into
1View. Occasionally have to check dangerous goods prior to releasing them in the UTI
system as well. Label all Atlanta based accounts as well as UTI shipments being transferred
from Charlotte, Miami, and a majority of the southeast.
• Gateway (Export side)-Aid in the build up of shipments for export from Atlanta. Once we
have a buildup plan from UTI’s Gateway office, building begins. AWB & HAWB numbers are
matched for correct piece count, destination verification, to recheck weight totals. Palletize
shipments to assigned airlines using correct ULD’s per customer request.
• EnviroTainer (Export side) Offload/load containers on a weekly basis. Offload/load freight on
a weekly basis in our freezer. Check EnviroTainers for damage & to ensure that they work
correctly, this involves placing batteries in each can to see that the cooling system works,
checking doors, & inspecting the overall look of the container for anything unusual. Receive
dry ice shipments varying on a weekly basis depending on that week’s weight totals.
• Currently trained on UTI’s 1View computer system, which was initiated Labor Day Weekend
of 2013 to connect UTI’s offices globally on one unified network.
UPS Supply Chain Solutions • Airfreight Warehouse
March 2008 - February 2010 • 105 Southfield Pkwy, Forest Park, GA 30297 (404) 366-8800
• Proficient facilitator of weekly buildup for UPS airfreight.
• Built main deck (96”x69”), lower deck (69”x69”), and shipped loose-freight shipments.
• Handled labeling and paperwork for the UPS warehouse. This meant matching export
documents to the correct freight & staging it accordingly for export.
• On a daily basis was responsible for loading & unloading of freight for export out of the
country. UPS handles several different trucking lines including: Southeastern, Holland,
Carnes, CEVA, & others. Was in charge of paperwork/freight verification for correct piece
count, damage checks, and weight/dims.
• Built ULD’s to specific UPS manifest daily. Had to follow certain guidelines to ensure that
freight would travel safely. This included building each shipment to fit individual height &
weight requirements per airline. Also had to ensure each ULD made the contour of its plane
with middle height of ULD not exceeding maximum contour of aircraft.
• Worked with UPS import division for a while. This part of the warehouse handles the mail
sorting for the company. We would receive ULD’s/containers filled with mail daily. We would
sort & organize the mail according to destination, package/piece size, & zip codes.
Utility Consultants, Inc.• Georgia Power Contractor
October 2006 - December 2007 • 1810 Water Place, Atlanta, GA 30339 (770) 955-9922
• Responsible for reading power meters and verification via computer input
• Responsible for turning power meters on/off as requested by GA Power daily.
• On a daily basis arrived at pre-assigned work area. This varied daily & included the entire
state of Georgia. Using a company Tough Book, I would access my Utility Consultant’s work
account & would set an efficient route so as to ensure that I worked the most meters that I
could each day. Would read individual meters for power readings & then input them in the
computer to the correct address that they belonged to.
• Was assigned to the Power division of Utility Consultants. Accessed appropriate addresses
with the computer & then turned on/off each meter, depending on the pre assigned work
order. Had to make these meters the priority jobs for each day.
Cooper Lighting • Warehouse
January 2001 - October 2006 • 1121 Georgia Hwy 74 S., Peachtree City, GA 30269 (770) 486-4800
• Experienced in warehouse work for the plant.
• Recognized employee team leader
• Loaded trucks with a forklift, following precise documentation protocols
• Collaborated with UPS for processing as well as packing shipments for export, when needed.
• Responsibilities extended beyond the dock to operate deep reach & cherry picker forklifts.
• Transport of freight from the warehouse to the dock with careful attention to inventory,
packaging, processing & paperwork.
• On a daily basis arrived for a company pre-shift meeting with my dock lead. Depending on
the area that he assigned me, handled different job responsibilities. On load days I primarily
drove sit down lift. Received dock manifest for each truckload. Loaded each truck in a
timely manner so as to have the load most efficiently fit without damage or loss to multiple
piece shipments. Typed up matching load sheet & other paperwork pertaining to each truck.
On dock days I would drive a cherry picker or deep reach & would pick computer assigned
orders from Cooper’s warehouse. This involved me spending much time in the multi-level
racks picking large quantities of freight. Once an order was complete, I would leave the
order on Cooper’s loading dock. Would re-check individual orders for piece count
verification & then would wrap & stick truck labels on each order. Infrequently I helped with
small package shipping. Would have a conveyer belt going into a UPS trailer for small
packages. Would use Cooper’s UPS system to print appropriate shipping labels & then would
hand load each trailer as efficiently as possible to ensure the best use of each trailer.
Alliance Airlines • Airfreight Warehouse
April 1997 - December 2000 • 4500 ASR Road, Atlanta, GA 30320 (404) 559-0244
• Airfreight forwarder responsible for accounts with MartinAir, Air France, Korean Air, Eva, and
numerous other European airlines.
• Promoted from inputting data for export flights to a certified position being able to clear
DG's for shipments.
• Worked hand-in-hand with US Customs concerning the declaration of flight crew
information and perishable goods, when needed
• Learned how to construct, reinforce, and weigh shipments for export.
• Customer Service Support- Response to inquiries by phone/email/person and aiding in all
aspects of airfreight autonomy.
• On a daily basis handled the paperwork input on each flight that I had an account for. This
meant that I would enter the correct information from each AWB that we had into Alliance’s
computer system. Once the computer work was finished I physically had to separate
paperwork to Alliance’s specifications. This meant having exact copies for: Alliance, the
account that I handled for Alliance, Customs, Accounting, etc. Then made appropriate pouch
for export documents to be delivered to the Captain & his crew on each individual flight
matching the freight that was built that day. Handled the declaration of Dangerous Goods,
the Pilot/crew’s clearance paperwork for the US, & any paperwork concerning perishable
items. Worked with my Account’s flight representatives to ensure that each load went as
smoothly as possible & that the paperwork matched the freight built up per flight. Met each
flight & helped oversee the loading to verify safety of the product, that each ULD assigned
got loaded, & to help with any issues that occurred randomly during a load. Worked my way
into the warehouse & eventually oversaw the buildup & office paperwork for each account
that I was assigned to by Alliance Airlines.
