Johan Smit worked for me and in the capacity of a Senior Technical Support specialist and Project
Rollout Manager for South African National Parks board and Capitec Bank.
His area of control was challenging and spanned the Southern and Eastern Cape regions, often fairly
remote areas due to the nature of the client.
Johan’s fine attention to detail and his detailed tactical planning for aspects like new branch rollouts,
hardware and software refreshes and IMACD’s resulted in very tight deadlines being consistently met.
The effects of this led to client trust and successful handovers to operations – where we consistently ran
at 100% SLA. On the branch rollouts for Capitec bank we had zero delays in the launch of new branches
for the Southern and Eastern Cape regions that Johan was responsible for.
Whilst employed by me, Johan was a diligent employee who thrives on thorough planning and attention
to detail and took ownership of his area of accountability.
