Describe any relevant voluntary or work experience (50 words max)
In 2013, I shadowed geologists at GDF Suex E&P and this experience reinforced my
aspirations to study Geology for my future. Volunteered at my local nursing home taught
me to understand compassion and empathy.
What are your career goals? (50 words max)
I embrace new experiences; achieving a Duke of Edinburgh Award to undertaking the
world’s highest bungee jump. This taught me flexibility, adaptability and resilience.
Such character will be beneficial for my MSc course starting in September. I will be
looking forward to joining the industry and learning the skills I need to perform to
the best of my ability.
Why do you want to participate in the mentoring program? (50 words max)
I wish to deepen my knowledge within my field and learn the essentital skills that will
become day-to-day in my future career. This will broaden my views and give me an
insight of various other important jobs that geoscientists face today. I wish to
express my skills to the best I can and prove that I am perfectly able to work within
this industry.
