This document discusses how fear and ignorance contributed to Donald Trump's election as president in 2016. It argues that white Americans felt threatened by demographic changes showing the U.S. will soon be a minority-majority country. The extreme right exploited these fears by portraying immigrants as threats. Trump reflected anxieties about preserving traditional American culture and values. However, the author believes this victory is ephemeral and the resistance to Trump's policies shows democracy is at an impasse in America.

1. How Fear and Ignorance BirthThe Unpredictability inAmerica!

In the beginning,Ihadthe perceptionthatthe 2016 presidential electionwasa no-brainer.Andthat,
Hillary Clinton,wouldmake amouthful of the Republicancompetitorandentershistoryasthe first
womanelectedtothe presidencyof the UnitedStates.Alsointhe lineof BarakObama whobecame the
firstblackAmericanpresident8years ago,in 2009. This introspectionwasdue tothe reactionary
speechesof conservative candidatesinthe primaryof the RepublicanParty.Theywere all warmongers,
extremelyxenophobic,furiouslydenouncingimmigration,exasperatedagainstIslam, andattimes
brutallyracist.I wasnot the onlyone to have that inklingbecausetraditionallythe average Americans
vote inthe middle.
Mitt Romney,the former2012 Republicanlosercandidate hadthe unpleasantexperience,and
summarizedhiselectionfailure asfollows:"IthinkthebiggestmistakeI made;I wasnotconcentrating
early enough on minorityvoters."
Katie PackerGage,formercampaignmanagerfor Mr. Mitt Romneysharedthissame documented
reflection:"Candidatesperceived asanti-immigration willstartthe generalelection with a disadvantage
of 24 pointsamong likely voters ...”. Definitely,immigrationwasanimportantfactorin these specificUS
elections.Allthe evidence supportingmyreadingof political theaterwasill-calculated.Forothermuch
more fundamental andprofoundreasons,the mindsof "deepAmerica’’have beendeeplyoccupied.
Afterthe catastrophicendof the brief doctrine,describedasa "third way"inEurope inthe 2000s
(markedby Bill Clinton, Tony Blaire and Lionel Jospin),the extremerightreappears.Since then,populist
leadershave continuedtothreatenthe post-warpolitical citadeldatedto1945. Withmillionsof
refugeesinvadingthe landsof the Westinrecentyears,the oldracistdemonstake advantage of this
newactualitytoclaimpower. Jörg Haider almosttookthe powerinHungary; Jean Mary Lepen (fatherof
MarineLepen),duringthe year 2002 wasin the secondroundof the Frenchpresidential election.On
May 23, 2016, NorbertHoferwas on the verge of winningthe Austrianelections; MarineLepen,leader
of the "FrontNational"retainsagoodchance to winthe Frenchpresidential in2017, in France.Many
people thoughtthatthe UnitedStateswasimmune tothisextreme right-wingplague.Itwaswell
counted,butill-calculated!
Demography and Immigration
Many progressive thinkersare deludedbythe allegedlinksbetween VladimirPutin,the masterof
Moscow,and Donald Trump,president-electof the UnitedStatesof Americaasa flickerof hope.They
are twomenof differentculturesandexperiences. Putin made hisdebutinthe aislesof the Soviet
CommunistParty,theninthe ranksof the KGB as colonel of intelligence; Trump,aborncapitalist,his

2. favorite interestisthe art to accumulate fortunes.Therefore,the juxtapositionisof a strategicorder
basedon cultural ramifications,emptyof anyprogressive ideological inclination.The two people,aswell
as all from Western countries,have incommonthe specterof the predictionof "2050".
UnitedNationsdepartmentof economicsandsocial affairs(UNDESA) expectedaturningpointregarding
worldpopulationby 2050. It is predictedthatthe Russianpopulationwilldecreasefrom143 million
today to 114 million.Currently,197 millionpeopleinthe UnitedStatesare white,accountingfor67%of
the population,andthereforeconstitute alarge majority.By2050, theywill declineto47%,
consequentlyaminority. NicholasEberstadt,ademographyspecialist,made the followingprojection:
"In 1995 theestimate of the population of Europeand Africa wasalmostexactly equal.By 2050, by these
projections,Africanswould exceed Europeansby morethan 3 to 1 ". Jose AngelGutierrez, a professorof
political science inthe state of Texas,elegantlytranslatesthe Westernanguishasfollows:"Wehavean
aging white population.They areno longerbabies.So they disappear.Theinhabitant’sexplosionisin our
population (Mexico).They shitoutof fearin their pants.I love it.” The undeniable realityisthatthe West
stopsto give birth.Inthe meantime,Asia, Africa, andLatinAmericacontinue tobringmillionsof
childrenintothe world,accordinglytothe bookof Genesis chapter17: 6.
The West countriesare experiencingdepopulationthat hasbeenhauntedthemfordecades;the only
viable solutionisto admita great communityof immigrantstofulfill the consequencesinherentto
industrialization.However,theyintendtofillupthisemptinessaccordingtotheirownterms.The only
dilemmaisthatthe worldisno longerwhatit usedtobe whenwe introducedslaveryinAmericaduring
the 16th century.If neo-liberalismhasreplacedslavery,people are nolongerthe innocentsof the recent
past.They reactdifferently,andinaccordance withtheirinterests.The impoverishmentof the
peripheral countries,the fomentedcivil wars,the destabilizationof unfriendlygovernments,produce
unforeseeneffects.The mostdazzlingof themisthe flow of refugees.The immigrantsdonotwaitfor
invitationslike inthe 60s;theyinvite themselvestothe Westernnations. Some observersthinktheygo
where theirwealthare stolenandpiledup.The Haitiansstormedthe coastof Florida;the Mexicans
scaledthe barbedwire of "Tijuana",the Africansandthe MediterraneaninvadedEurope.
The consequence isobvious.The extremeright,startingfromthishumanwave arrivingandstaying
"illegally" inwesterncountries,findsthe fatal weapontotwistthe weak-minded.Now,populism
discoversthe ideal targettoblame all the problemsthatstrike theircountry.Exploitingthat
advantageousreality,the extreme rightisadvancingtothe Europe continent,andseizingpoweratthe
veryheartof the capital of the so-calledcivilizingworld.
Race and Culture
The UnitedStatesof Americahasa wide populationof 324,707,000 inhabitants,197 millionare white
(includingimmigrantsfromEurope andthe Middle East),representing67.7 percentof the total
population.OnNovember4,2008, a suddeneventhappenedin the UnitedStates.BarackObama,the
charismaticblacksenatorfromthe state of Illinois,waselectedpresidentinoppositiontoSenatorHillary
Clinton.Inmyhumble opinion,itlookslikewhite Americawasinalethargicstate,andthenwoke upon
January20, 2009, to finda directdescendantof Africatothe White House.

3. It was a white cataclysm!
Americawasstunnedbythisawesome coup.Caughtunprepared,WhiteAmericawaspreparingits
revenge.Thisfactionof societysawwithannoyance the presence of Michelleand BarakObama
accompaniedbytheirdaughterslivinginthe White House,the buildingthatrepresentsthe highest
symbol of racial domination.The citadel hadbeentakenbyassault,andinvadedbyastuteness,without
firinga shot.It hasto be recovered.Infact, Pamela Taylorof WestVirginiaexpressesloudlywhat
millionsof people thinkinalowvoice,namely,"Itwill be refreshing to havean elegant,beautifuland
dignified First Lady in theWhite House.I'mtired of seeing an apein heels (Michelle Obama). “The
vengeance mustbe remarkable,spectacularandunambiguousbyplacingthe cynicisminpower!
As DonaldTrumpembarkedona particularlypro-fascistdiatribe,hispopularitygrew exponentially.He
became a half-god.Thousandsof people traveledtolistentohim.He reflectsthe aspirationof alarge
fringe of Americansociety.which Richard Nixon likedtocall "silent majority",todescribe the defectors
fromthe DemocraticPartywho,afterthe signingof the civil rightsagreementby Lyndon Johnson in
1964, forsakenit.
DonaldTrump's vote reflectsthisaspectof Americanlife.Inafew words,"the wormisin the fruit".The
social contract concludedin1865, afterthe cruel war of secessionisexpired.Itisnecessarytoredefine
the political andcultural parametersof the differententitiesthatinhabitthe country.The UnitedStates
ceasedto be formallyaunitedChristiannationunderone Godfor several decades.The Supreme Court,
althoughconservative,doesratifyanti-Christianlaws,suchas same-sex marriage.Liberalsand
Conservativesare constantlyconfrontingeachotheronall accounts,whichmake the cohabitationvery
perilous,sometimesimpossible tomanage.
Thiscultural mixture,called meltingpot,denouncedwithloquacitybythe conservatives hasreachedits
culminationpoint.Theywarnagainstthe redefinitionof the American identity if there isone left.To
accomplishthisheavytask,theymustresortto extreme means,includingviolence andisolationism.
Imagine America“thecivilizing people", now to preserve itsculture doesnothesitate tolockitself upin
a cage, far fromthe forthcomingimmigrants.We forgetthatexchangesbetweenpeoplesworldwide are
not a one-waystreet.FromMarco Polo,throughChristopher ColumbustoJacquesCousteau,
civilizationshave alwaysintermingledtocreate a symbiosis.
We are inthe aftermathof the newworldthatJohnLennonsang in "Imagine":

On 30 June 1991 apartheidwasabolishedinSouthAfrica.A date that,despite itsgreatnessinthe annals

the beginningof the endof a long reignthat the "fearfulwhites"constantlywarnagainsthisarrival.The
Zimbabweaneventalsofrightensmuchof the white populationthatdominatesthe wealth,culture and
international monopolyof violence.For them, Matthew 20:16 takesthe human form, andthreatens

4. theirdominationinthe world.Fearisakeyelementinthe arsenal of ideologicalandpolitical
manipulationof the weakmindedmasses.
ThisAmericancultural warhas nowreacheditshighestpoint. Conservativecircles,trappedinthe
defensive formore thanhalf a century,are fightingbackveryhard."The best way to win a waris to go
on the offensive."The problemisthatTrumpis nota true conservative.Thisburdentobringthe union
back to the great traditional values of the foundingfathers shouldbe guidedbyanauthenticideologue,
not a salesman.Sothe victoryof 8 November2016 is ephemeral.Itssurvival isalreadywidely
contradicted.Historyneverbacktracks.Those whofeasttoday, weeptomorrow. Besides,the resistance
of the citizensisalreadyvisibleonthe streetsof manycitiesinAmerica.Whenall institutionsare under
the dictatesof a single thoughtora party,I meanthe 3 powersof the state,legislative /judicial/
executive,the citizenbecomesahero.It’sthe lastshieldtodefendfreedomforall inAmerica.
Montesquieu, Hobbes, and Fanon are atrisk.Democracyis at an impasse inthe heartof America.
Finally,manycanconsiderotherjustificationaboutthe real nature of thiscrisisthatthreatensAmerican
societyfromthe innerself.Isitnotthe corollarymanifestationof amuch deepercrisis?Isitnot the
beginningof the decline of Americanhegemony?These contradictions,asIhave describedthemabove,
showsignsof uncontrollable contradictions.If thisisthe case,the worldshouldbe preparedfora
widespreadcrisis,since anydecline of thismagnitudecanleadtoa dominoeffect.
