PERSONAL PROFILE
My principal research interests lie in the field of the influence of music on transformative
personal and cultural agency. The title of my proposal/dissertation is: Music as an Instrument of
Self and Selfhood: An Ethnographic Study using a Mezirowian toolkit.
My future plans are to transfer the foundations of my structured PhD work experienced at
California Institute of Integral Studies to a research directed PhD program at Waterford Institute
of Technology. I hope to bring new learnings to my community of scholars, expand my
knowledge/research base, and give back to my new home in Waterford County.
