14. Mining and Processing The mining of Kota stone is carried out by open cast manual methods and in some cases, the semi-mechanized method is also adopted. The Kota stone strata is found in the form of natural thickness ranging from 12 to 150mmor even more, thus, the mined out slabs are cut to size using hammer and chisel. The diamond saws are used to cut the tiles in required thickness & measurement. The tiles of Kota stone are available in various sizes and thickness to suit the requirements of various building projects.
