RAPE
Divided into two classes Natural offenses when the relation is between male and female as in rape and incest Unnatural offenses, when the relation is unnatural as in homosexuality.
The word RAPE is probably derived from the Latin, RAPERE to snatch, it literally means a forcible seizure. The characteristic of force is generally present in the commission of the offense.
English law on rape: The Criminal Justice and Public Order Act of 1994 has replaced: “woman” with a “person” and “sexual intercourse” being defined as penetration of vagina and anus. Sexual intercourse with a girl not yet 13 years old is rape according to the English law it is considered as a grave crime (serious crime). The act does not recognize consent until the age of 16.
French law on rape: Rape is defined as any act of sexual penetration of any nature committed on another person by violence, constraint, threat, or surprise.
RAPE def.: Defined as: - "Unlawful sexual intercourse with a woman by force, fear or fraud”. The word ‘woman’ is changed by the word person
Types: Date rape Gang rape Marital rape or spousal rape Child sexual abuse Prison rape Acquaintance rape War rape Statutory rape.
Rape is about power, not sex. A rapist uses actual force or violence — or the threat of it — to take control over another human being. Some rapists use drugs to take away a person's ability to fight back. Rape is a crime, whether the person committing it is a stranger, a date, an acquaintance, or a family member.
Some statistics: Six separate investigations suggest that between 14% and 20% of women in the United States will experience a completed rape at least once in her lifetime.1,2 In a random sample of 420 women in Toronto, Canada, 40% reported at least one episode of forced sexual intercourse since the age of 16.3.

What should I do? What's the right thing to do if you've been raped? Take care of yourself in the best way for you. For some people, that means reporting the crime immediately and fighting to see the rapist brought to justice. For others it means seeking medical or emotional care without reporting the rape as a crime. There are three things that everyone who has been raped should do, though:
Know that the rape wasn't your fault. Seek medical care. Deal with your feelings It’s not your fault. Make protecting yourself a priority. If you want to report the crime to the police, do so. Reporting a rape may help protect others from that person — and may help you feel a little less like you were a victim. But making a report to the police may be difficult for some people. If you don't feel comfortable reporting it, you don't have to. You may prefer to get advice about what to do from an experienced adult who can be sympathetic to you. Do whatever helps you to feel safe and heal without blaming yourself Seek medical care, Doctor will check you for STDs, internal injuries & pregnancy. You should get medical attention right away without changing your clothes, showering, douching, or washing.
