This is a introduction to 4 different types of tool that are accessible via the internet to help educators integrate technology in the classroom. The presentations explores word clouds, answer gardens, embedded audio and visual tools, digital storytelling and info-graphics as well as the use of images with a creative commons license and a way to manipulate pictures. The target grade level presented is mainly K-4, however many of these can be used for older children as well. The target audience to be presented to would be librarians wanting to help collaborate with elementary teachers as well as any elementary teachers that want to collaborate with any Librarian Media Specialist.

These tools give you a great opportunity to
give your children internet opportunities in
class. Technology integration is the way of
the future and we need to prepare our
students. The jobs are more reliant upon
technology. So as educators we need to
acknowledge this.
17. SOL K.5 :
The student will understand how print is organized and read.
● a) Hold print materials in the correct position.
● b) Identify the front cover, back cover, and title page of a book.
● c) Distinguish between print and pictures.
● d) Follow words from left to right and fromtop to bottom on a printed page
● e) Match voice with print. (concept of word).
K.6:The student will demonstrate an understanding that print conveys meaning.
● b) Explain that printed materials provide information.
● c) Read and explain own writing and drawings.
● d) Read his/her name and read fifteen meaningful, concrete words.
K.7c) Demonstrate a speech-to-print match through accurate finger-point reading in familiar text that includes words with more than
one syllable.
● d) Identify beginning consonant sounds in single-syllable words
K.9a) Identify what an author does and what an illustrator does.
