where is your old 401k Dopp
1. Where is your old 401k?
Do you have any retirement savings accounts with old employers?
Don’t leave your old accounts in the dust.
Let’s make them work for you!
The average worker changes jobs almost 12 times
over the course of 30 years.1
If you invest in a 401(k)
each time you change jobs, you could have quite a
retirement savings built up!
The problem is that time can get away from us and the
priority of rolling that money to a new, current account, gets
lost. If you aren’t keeping track of your old accounts, you may
not be aware of changes to your previous employer’s plan.
They may have increased their fees or changed their
investment options. Both are reasons to move your money.
This biggest question is, “Is your money working for you?”
Are your investments performing the way they should? Are
you invested in the right portfolio? With forgotten 401(k)
accounts, do you know the answers to these questions?
Unlike self-managed accounts, such as a 401(k), moving your
money into new savings vehicles with the guidance of an
independent investment advisor, can give you more control
and a wider range of investment options.
I am an investment advisor and I work with people
to get their old accounts organized so that their
retirement savings is streamlined.
There is so much to understand when it comes to organizing
retirement accounts, including penalties, fees, and timing. It
is important to talk with a knowledgeable financial
professional, such as myself, to help sort out where your
accounts are and how to get them working for you, in the
most efficient way possible.
Let’s round up your old 401(k) accounts!
