Motorsport Max is an exciting all round introduction to motorsport. During the course
of the day you will take part in all of the racing activities: simulator experiences, pit
challenges, driving the Birkin S3 and the single-seater Reynard cars. Designed for
maximum enjoyment.
Simulator Experience Teams are trained on race simulators, discovering the art of
racing, including the technique needed for good racing lines, brake points, turning-in
point, apex and exit skills.
Pit Challenges Competing against the clock, teams challenge each other in pit tire
changes. Driving the Birkin S3 Teams compete in the pursuit race, completing tight
figure-of-eight circuits against the clock.
The Fantastic Reynard. Now it is time to up the pace and show your true colors. Get
fitted and get driving the stunning and powerful single-seater Reynard.
We round off the day with some well-earned sundowners and a prize-giving ceremony
around the champagne-soaked podium.

we will make our way through the vineyards to stop for a wine tasting
alongside bubbling streams. We will continue along country lanes
past horses and cattle, old and modern wine farms, where we stop for
another tasting-and lunch. This is a great way to experience the true

The Hague is proud to host the finish of the Volvo Ocean Race 2017-2018, the first time the
event has ended in The Netherlands. Summer 2018 will see the climax of the world’s greatest
sporting events, taking place off the coast of The Hague. The eyes of sailing fans worldwide
will be focused on the The Netherlands as the boats finish in the port of Scheveningen after a
gruelling eight-month battle.
The Finish of the Volvo Ocean Race in The Hague will be a celebration for both the Dutch and
international sailing communities. For nine days straight, everything in and around the port of
Scheveningen will be focused on sailing and watersports. The finish promises to be a true
spectacle for sailors and you can be part of this great event!
At the next pages you find more information about activities in the Volvo Ocean Race Village
and additional some first ideas to explore and experience The Hague.

The beach lounge is located in the heart of the Race Village, close to all the
action. Affording great views out to sea, where a variety of races will be
taking place, the beach lounge also overlooks the charming sailor’s village.
You and your guests will wish for nothing more. Start off with an extensive
lunch or dinner buffet, followed by entertainment in the lounge. Your guests
can even sign-up for a tour of the Volvo Ocean Race festival terrain, guided
by a sailing expert who will explain the ins-and-outs of the world’s biggest
sailing race.

The best way to follow the action of any of the races (lLegend, Pro-Am and
In-Port) is to experience it from the water. Race Package participants will
board on a RIB. On board a RIB you get the chance to sail alongside the
boats and see them in action right up close. Be aware, you will get wet!
Before and after the race you will be welcomed in the Beach Lounge.

The fact that the Netherlands counts the most drummers per km2 is
due to Cesar Zuiderwijk, drummer of the world-famous Rock band
the Golden Earing with songs like Radar Love, Twilight Zone and
When the Lady Smiles.
In a few hours Cesar will inspire and learn you more about different
techniques and shows what makes the drum so fascinating. This

Royal Flavours
Experience and explore the royal city center of The Hague by bike while tasting
our local favorite flavours. A city guide will show you the hidden treasures of the
city and also stop at the famous points such as Binnenhof, Noordeinde Palace
and the Peace Palace. During the tour you will make several culinary stops. You
probably already know the stroopwafel but have you tried the Dutch herring and
the famous local sweet “Haags Hopje”?
The tour ends at the local craft brewery and bar ‘Kompaan’ who won the price
’Best beer of The Netherlands’ with their special beer “Bloedbroeder”. Their prize
was announced at the annualDutch Beer week in May.

A stop at the Van Kleef steam-distillery will definite suprise you. Van Kleef is the
last remaining jenever and liqueur brand in The Hague, founded in 1842 and
located in old city centre. By combining craftsmanship, history and quality, they
are producing many delicious beverages.
