What am I making and why?
What am I making?
• My project is a documentary that I will make myself. I will include a poster, a social media
account promoting my video, and also a documentary. I will document my life which will
include gym footage, an interview of my coach, footage of me playing football, along
with a demonstration and rundown of my diet.
Why
• I think this is important because I believe that doing something I love and am interested
in will mean I am more invested in doing this project, and what I chose to document
is my life with bodybuilding. I want to explore into the truth of bodybuilding and use
scientific research to structure the topics of my videos. There is a lot of misconceptions
when it comes to weightlifting, and I want to put some truth into it. I want it to look
professional and not made by a student, so a lot of planning will be vital for its success.
Making a social media platform and a poster will help it be known by more people as
well, I think having a social media to promote it is good as this seems to be the future of
marketing.
Where will it appear?
• Firstly, I will add it to my YouTube channel and then my website. I think we
will show our videos around at the end of the year as well so that is
exciting. I will also use snippets to market on my social media.
Who is it for?
My project is for people who like new director's coming into the industry,
people who like bodybuilding, people just starting weightlifting and also
people who may want to know more about bodybuilding. For my targeted
age range, I would say 13-50 as that is the range people start or are working
out by. Social class is anyone as I don’t tailor my video to anything to do with
wealth. My geodemographic is anywhere that speaks the English language,
as that is what I will be speaking.
Title of Project
Chasing Aesthetics
I have gone with this title because I think it represents the project well, and you get
a clear idea of what it is. Chasing has connotation of running and athletics and will
tie in with my football, and aesthetics ties into my bodybuilding as that is a
common bodybuilding term for how your muscle looks.
Colour
• When considering a colour pallet for my documentary I was inspired by both the
gym I attend (UltraFlex) and content of the same genre. Reds and blacks feature
heavily within the bodybuilding community, possibly due to their association with
masculinity. As my audience consists mostly of males, I wanted to appeal to this. I
also feel red is a colour that is loud aggressive and almost imperative. We see red
all the time in our day to day lives, telling us to stop, not to do something or wait.
I feel this colour holds the power to motivate people to do something, and by
using it in my video, It is motivating people to change what they can, rather than
what they can't, like going to the gym. Black is also a recurring colour within the
bodybuilding community, from the weights to the machines it appears
everywhere. Black in colour theory, used by psychologists, also portrays power,
elegance and strength, attributes desired in bodybuilding. Additionally, the
definition of a black personality is one that is strong-willed and determined, two
characteristics of which are necessary within this community.
Aesthetic
• I like how it zooms in his face on the
second one, he may have done this in post,
but I like the effect he did.
• Getting a lot of shadowing will be very
important as that will help muscle look
more defined. I can do this on the camera
settings before-hand.

 Music: I will be using Elenore by The
Turtles, as I think it has a lot of energy and
a positive mood, meaning that it will great
for an introduction as it gives it a good
start.
 Sound design: I plan to only have the
voiceover as audio. I want the music to
immediately begin after the voiceover ends
and last for 5 seconds enough to get to the
beat drop in song.

Sequencing: This is pretty straight forward on this one as
there is only one shot and a subtitle to go with it.
Timings: I want this section to be 20 seconds maximum. I
don’t want to rush the voiceover either. I counted in my
head how long the voiceover would take, and it roughly is
around 8 seconds to say how I want it to say. I want a slight
pause before ‘let me show you’.

me In shots 2 and 3. For shot 4 (the
cutaway) I will mute the sound of recording
for that and will use the audio from the
scene of me talking about the supplements
in shot 2 and 3.
Script: For the script I don’t want a set out
list of words to memorise. I want this
section to be more natural so what I will do
is just have a bullet point list of what I will
talk about.

Shot 9: I will use a three-quarter shot,
getting in his upper thigh to his head. I will
then just go through the questions with the
same angle. I will be using the posing room
at Ultra Flex for this shot as they have
lighting set ups already in place. I am not
worried If this takes long as I can break it
down into about 15 second snippets
throughout my project. The problem is if it is
too short, the minimum time scale for the
interview will be 5 minutes. Anything under
that I will ask for the benefits of creatine and
protein powder in order to increase the films
duration.

Locations effect on noise: I have
picked a place where it will be
reasonably quiet, the door will be shut
and is in its own room inside the gym I
attend.
Sound: I want the audio to be as crisp
as possible, so not moving the wire
making the audio have unwanted
buffers will be important.

Shot 11: I want an above angle, close shot. For
this shot I will get out the supplements out of the
packaging and go more in depth about them.
This will be about 10 seconds per supplement.

This will be approximately 5 seconds.
Shot 14: Low close angle of flame heating food.
This will be a 3 second shot.
Graphic: for this section I don’t want subtitles
because I will be using close visuals and don’t
want the subtitles getting in the way. The post-it
notes will also be used as a sort of subtitle as
well.
Audio Plan
Voiceover: I will be using a voiceover for this section, and
that will be the only audio heard in this section of the
video.
Voiceover script: There is a lot of lies and false advertisement
when it comes down to the fitness supplement industry. Creatine
Monohydrate, with over 700 human studies, is not one of these
shams for you to spend your money. Creatine is not expensive, in
fact to get the same dose of creatine from one teaspoon, you
would have to eat a kilogram of raw beef, so the price change
means that supplementation is a no brainer. Because creatine can
increase phosphocreatine levels and therefore increase ATP
energy production, it is one of the few supplements repeatedly
proven to increase strength and power. It also makes your
muscles look fuller as it increases water retention in your muscles.
Omega-3s are a family of essential fatty acids that play important roles in
your body and may provide a number of health benefits, for example they
reduce the likelihood of a heart attack or stroke and lower blood pressure. .
Your body cannot produce these on your own so you must get it from your
diet.
You get vitamin D from food, supplements, and sunshine. Vitamin D is
important for bone and muscle strength as well as immune function. It may help
prevent depression, inflammatory disease, and heart disorders.
A multivitamin will have in all the vitamins and minerals, such as iron, calcium
and vitamin C that you need, and it can be hard to get all of that without
obsessing over everything you eat. Saying this getting your nutrition from
actual food is better than supplementation but multivitamins still help.

Voiceover: Before I started weight
training, I was unhappy with how I
looked. No longer did I want to be
perceived as skinny or weak. I saw
people bigger than me, and I wanted
to be more like them. Then I found
weightlifting.

Audio plan
Voiceover: So, a good genral rule of thumb I would say for
rest is you're getting enough sleep and eating well. I would
say at least 6 hours a day is optimal. If you're eating more
calories than you burn off this will also speed up the
recovery process. If you are having trouble recovering from
each workout and you have stuck to the same program for at
least 3 weeks, then I would suggest decreasing your training
volume. It is found that 10-20 and maybe even 30 sets on
your targeted muscle you want to grow, per week, will cause
the most gains and anything more may contribute to
overtraining. You also have to take into consideration that
some exercises will be more taxing than others and a smaller
set range could be more beneficial.
Another way people are using to recover is ice baths, The
idea is that immersing the body in freezing cold water
speeds up recovery after exercise by reducing temperature,
blood flow and inflammation in tissues of the muscles.
Although some people argue against how beneficial, many
top tier body builders do this like Chris Bumstead.
Recovery

Another way people are liking to recover is Cryotherapy. The
idea is that immersing the body in freezing cold water
speeds up recovery after exercise. By reducing temperature,
Inflammation should be reduced, and blood flow increased,
aiding in muscle recovery. Although some people argue
against how beneficial, many top tier body builders do this
like Chris Bumstead. Wim Hof or otherwise known as the
iceman has popularised this recovery technique as he claims
there are many benefits with mental and physical attributes
Utes that you can get to exposing your body to sub-zero
temperatures.
Visual design
I want this section to have some comedic
effect as well as educational. The
comedic part will obviously be seeing
my visual pain, but the educational part
will be seeing if it works.
Shot 22: I want this all to be one shot and
I want it to be a medium shot. The
camera will be Infront of me as I am
walking and will follow me into the
bathroom where I will poor the ice into
the bath and get in. I will be talking
through my script the whole time. The
duration for this section will be around 1
and a half. Minutes long.

this and using their overhead lighting to
encapsulate my physique.

be competing. I want it to first say Summer 2023
then fade to the rest of the sentence as it will
look epic In my opinion. I also want the writing
to be on red, as it will fit the theme.

• For sound I will record the gym audio, but I won't have it in
my documentary a lot, just when it seems appropriate like
when I first establish the gym scene for example, I may use
it. I won't use any Foley sound as this is a documentary and I
want it therefore to be as realistic as possible.
• For music I was thinking about Elenore by The Turtles, it has
a very good beat drop and I personally think it would fit rally
well for an introduction shot. I will also include music
that featured on my research. I will probably use Ace of
Spades by Motorhead, I heard it at the gym and thought it
would go very well for a workout montage and it is also
a common workout song.
Equipment list
• Camera with audio from college. I chose this as I fam amiliar with it, and it also possesses a zoom feature
which I require and also believe it helps give that documentary feel, as it is in many documentaries like The
Office.
• Tripod. I am using this as I want to make some parts of documentary more serious and want a locked off
shot for this.
• Graphics tablet. I will need a graphics tablet to allow me to do the rotoscoping, say If I have time to do it.
• Audio recorder. To get better audio when doing voiceovers, as I don’t like camera audio.
• Reflector. To get light to my face when in dark shots that shadow my face.

• Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera. Very good quality camera, to capture my workout montage.
• Sigma 18-35 lens. Another quality item. Good for medium and close angles that I will need for gym montage.
• Canon 24-105 lens. Another quality item. Good for medium and close angles that I will need for

• Rode Shotgun microphone. In case I need audio for any shots while at gym.

Script voiceover (recovery initial idea)
Recovery audio
• I do a 5-day split, with two football sessions, which count as my
cardio. I do a push pull leg split which will mean I hit every muscle
two times per week, which is the most optimal way of training for
muscle mass. You can train as hard as you want but you need rest to
recover from the stress your training will have on your body.
Script voiceover (bulking and cutting)
• There has been a lot of overcomplication when it comes to dieting for
muscle size. What is scientifically backed is a surplus of 100-500 over
your maintenance calories. This is proven to aid growth in muscle
size. I would say a 200-calorie surplus is the best, as too much of a
calorie surplus will cause too much bodyfat increase. While in a cut,
which is a calorie deficit, It is harder to gain strength and size as your
body needs food to grow and for energy.

My editing style
Why am I writing about my style?
I am writing about my editing style because, I believe that when editing if you have already
decided what type of style you will be editing in, it will enhance the videos quality, as well
as help the video have a more consistent and coherent feel, as the style will stay the
same. There won't be any editing that will seem out of place and will make the video more
watchable. Secondly the process will be a lot smoother and quicker, as I won't have to
think about how I am going to edit while I am about to start, it will have already
been decided. This will make production a lot quicker so I can get more work done.
My style
For this project, I will be doing fast cuts. This is because my project is more of a web-based
documentary, and through my research, it seems like all these videos are very short and
straight to the point. I will somewhat be trying to emulate that, but I want to keep my own
style. I like editing with music, I think music breaks are very important as it is very
entertaining and can capture the mood you want for a certain scene. This is used by lots of
people, but one that comes to mind is the Shrek movies.
Interview review
• I am hoping these questions will help the interviewee to feel
comfortable in front of camera, although I am not too concerned as I
know he has some experience in-front of the camera. The first
question being, what is your training style will hopefully be
comfortable for him to do as it is talking about himself and he can sell
himself, as he must do that regularly. This will hopefully make him
more relaxed for the rest of the interview. The last question being
how was your experience competing, I want a realistic response for
this, as I know it was hard. I want to get that it is extremely difficult to
compete. The question about when I can compete is there to relate it
back to me as that is what the documentary is about, and the whole
project is like me before competing.

lot of my footage will be
filmed including boxing,

Fonts
I will use this font for when I am
dating events. I am also going to
be using the typewriter effect, so
this font is exactly perfect.
I like this font for my title of
my project. It looks
powerful but not too
serious, which represents
my documentary.
For subtitles I did some research Alte Haas Grotesk is the font I think looks best
because it is quite subtle and isn’t too fancy. I researched different forums to find
that someone suggested this one.
Final thoughts before I start filming
I have checked out the schedule between now and the end of the project. I
do believe I have to make some decisions on my production to save time.
• No longer than a ten-minute video. I want to make a high-quality mini
documentary. The longer I make it the less quality it will be. So, showing off
a ten-minute video will be important.
• No rotoscoping. I like rotoscoping. Do I think it's important to the overall
video? No. I think the video will be better without it, and it may be wasted
time with its in.
• Have the ability to adapt. I think in theory, this planning is very good. But
having the ability to adapt if a problem comes up is important. I can't
just rely on this planning, even though yes, it is very important.

agreement to film a session 10-11AM on the
9th of April. I will be doing it with my friend

my video. I asked him if he

Manage
• Since I first started, I feel like I have learned that your whole project, If
I don’t put the effort in there will be no project. Self-reliance is the
skill I have realised over this last year. This is why when it comes to
people, I have tried to be more assertive. For example, instead of
asking someone if you can maybe do an interview some time, I will
give a date and be straight forward. If someone gives me a maybe or I
know is not reliable I won’t rely on them, and I think that is the
smartest thing to do.

• Equipment wise I shouldn’t have to pay for anything, as I can get all
my equipment from York college, or from people I'm close with.
Stephen Royle who is helping me film is bringing his own gear which
will be helpful.

Lighting
Reflector
Due to the lighting in the gym environment in which I will
be filming, I will be using a reflector on my face as you can
see the gym lighting gets rid of my face a lot. This will
require someone to hold it.
I have decided to use the smallest reflector that is the
closest to the camera as it is what I will feel the most
comfortable using and won't take much space to put in my
bag. The gym is also a public area and have a big reflector
could get in the way of people trying to work-out. I will
most likely get Stephen Royle to hold this as he is who will
be filming a lot of my content.
Post lighting
I am planning to desaturate the footage, and bring the reds
and oranges in, and make them highly saturated. I think
this will look well as it will make my muscles look more
defined. I like having red and oranges still in it as red is
dominant and makes me think of bodybuilding.
Sourced content
I am not planning for any sourced
content, but for instance, if my
interview makes a reference, I may use
some image or video for visual
reference for the viewer. The way I
would do this is either using
an unblocked converter or screen
to record the footage off my mac.

  • 2. What am I making and why? What am I making? • My project is a documentary that I will make myself. I will include a poster, a social media account promoting my video, and also a documentary. I will document my life which will include gym footage, an interview of my coach, footage of me playing football, along with a demonstration and rundown of my diet. Why • I think this is important because I believe that doing something I love and am interested in will mean I am more invested in doing this project, and what I chose to document is my life with bodybuilding. I want to explore into the truth of bodybuilding and use scientific research to structure the topics of my videos. There is a lot of misconceptions when it comes to weightlifting, and I want to put some truth into it. I want it to look professional and not made by a student, so a lot of planning will be vital for its success. Making a social media platform and a poster will help it be known by more people as well, I think having a social media to promote it is good as this seems to be the future of marketing.
  • 3. Where will it appear? • Firstly, I will add it to my YouTube channel and then my website. I think we will show our videos around at the end of the year as well so that is exciting. I will also use snippets to market on my social media. Who is it for? My project is for people who like new director's coming into the industry, people who like bodybuilding, people just starting weightlifting and also people who may want to know more about bodybuilding. For my targeted age range, I would say 13-50 as that is the range people start or are working out by. Social class is anyone as I don’t tailor my video to anything to do with wealth. My geodemographic is anywhere that speaks the English language, as that is what I will be speaking.
  • 4. Title of Project Chasing Aesthetics I have gone with this title because I think it represents the project well, and you get a clear idea of what it is. Chasing has connotation of running and athletics and will tie in with my football, and aesthetics ties into my bodybuilding as that is a common bodybuilding term for how your muscle looks.
  • 5. Colour • When considering a colour pallet for my documentary I was inspired by both the gym I attend (UltraFlex) and content of the same genre. Reds and blacks feature heavily within the bodybuilding community, possibly due to their association with masculinity. As my audience consists mostly of males, I wanted to appeal to this. I also feel red is a colour that is loud aggressive and almost imperative. We see red all the time in our day to day lives, telling us to stop, not to do something or wait. I feel this colour holds the power to motivate people to do something, and by using it in my video, It is motivating people to change what they can, rather than what they can't, like going to the gym. Black is also a recurring colour within the bodybuilding community, from the weights to the machines it appears everywhere. Black in colour theory, used by psychologists, also portrays power, elegance and strength, attributes desired in bodybuilding. Additionally, the definition of a black personality is one that is strong-willed and determined, two characteristics of which are necessary within this community.
  • 6. Aesthetic • I like how it zooms in his face on the second one, he may have done this in post, but I like the effect he did. • Getting a lot of shadowing will be very important as that will help muscle look more defined. I can do this on the camera settings before-hand.

Topic breakdown start to finish INTRODUCTION 10-15 seconds Kitchen scene talking about supplements, dietary. 1-2 minute Harry Strike interview response to the question how his experience was competing. 1-2 minute Food making timelapse and voiceover, going more into depth about the previous topics as well as mental health benefits from working out. 1-2 minute Before footage of me working out, motivational speech, why I got into bodybuilding voiceover. 0.30-1 minute Boxing footage, and football footage. Voiceover about recovery. 1 minute Harry Strike interview response to his training style. 1-2 minute GYM MONTAGE 1-2 minute Harry Strike interview response to when he thinks I can compete. 30 seconds - 1 minute How my physique looks now. And summary, conclusion. 1 minute An opening voiceover. For visual I will use a scene of me later in the documentary, most likely a scene from my workout. Me talking directly to the camera. I will have my supplements laid out ready for me to talk about their benefits and my rationale about taking them. Dietary I will talk about my own personal calories and briefly about bulking and cutting. I will also mention how at some point in the future I want to compete in bodybuilding. This will largely be down to the length of response I will get and also the quality. If the answer is quality I will use more of the footage. I will talk about the effects of these things on you, positives, negatives and what I would recommend for the viewer to do. I will show pictures and videos where I look skinny to show comparison to now. This will be alongside. I am using footage of the games at f1 have recorded of me and also images. I will also use footage of Archie and I doing boxing. I will be setting up a camera in the room with a tripod. This will largely be down to the length of response I will get and also the quality. Introduction Audio plan  Music: I will be using Elenore by The Turtles, as I think it has a lot of energy and a positive mood, meaning that it will great for an introduction as it gives it a good start.  Sound design: I plan to only have the voiceover as audio. I don’t want to rush the voiceover either. I counted in my head how long the voiceover would take, and it roughly is around 8 seconds to say how I want it to say. I want a slight pause before ‘let me show you’.

  • 10. Harry Strike interview Visual design Shot 9: I will use a three-quarter shot, getting in his upper thigh to his head. I will then just go through the questions with the same angle. I will be using the posing room at Ultra Flex for this shot as they have lighting set ups already in place. I am not worried If this takes long as I can break it down into about 15 second snippets throughout my project. The problem is if it is too short, the minimum time scale for the interview will be 5 minutes. Anything under that I will ask for the benefits of creatine and protein powder in order to increase the films duration. Graphics: I will use a subtitle for my voiceover. Audio plan Equipment: I will be using a camera with an audio recorder and microphone to pick up the sound from me asking the questions, and also Harry answering the questions. Locations effect on noise: I have picked a place where it will be reasonably quiet, the door will be shut and is in its own room inside the gym I attend. Sound: I want the audio to be as crisp as possible, so not moving the wire making the audio have unwanted buffers will be important. Concept design

Food making timelapse and voiceover, going more into depth about the previous topics as well as mental health benefits from working out Visual design Shot 11: I want an above angle, close shot. For this shot I will get out the supplements out of the packaging and go more in depth about them. This will be about 10 seconds per supplement. Shot 12: Close above angle of food in a 3 second shot. Shot 13: Side close angle of cutting up the food. This will be approximately 5 seconds. Shot 14: Low close angle of flame heating food. This will be a 3 second shot. Graphic: for this section I don’t want subtitles because I will be using close visuals and don’t want the subtitles getting in the way. The post-it notes will also be used as a sort of subtitle as well. If you are having trouble recovering from each workout and you have stuck to the same program for at least 3 weeks, then I would suggest decreasing your training volume. It is found that 10-20 and maybe even 30 sets on your targeted muscle you want to grow, per week, will cause the most gains and anything more may contribute to overtraining. You also have to take into consideration that some exercises will be more taxing than others and a smaller set range could be more beneficial. Another way people are using to recover is ice baths, The idea is that immersing the body in freezing cold water speeds up recovery after exercise by reducing temperature, blood flow and inflammation in tissues of the muscles. Although some people argue against how beneficial, many top tier body builders do this like Chris Bumstead.

  • 18. Sound • For sound I will record the gym audio, but I won't have it in my documentary a lot, just when it seems appropriate like when I first establish the gym scene for example, I may use it. I won't use any Foley sound as this is a documentary and I want it therefore to be as realistic as possible. • For music I was thinking about Elenore by The Turtles, it has a very good beat drop and I personally think it would fit rally well for an introduction shot. I will also include music that featured on my research. I will probably use Ace of Spades by Motorhead, I heard it at the gym and thought it would go very well for a workout montage and it is also a common workout song.

  • 33. Script voiceover (recovery initial idea) Recovery audio • I do a 5-day split, with two football sessions, which count as my cardio. I do a push pull leg split which will mean I hit every muscle two times per week, which is the most optimal way of training for muscle mass. You can train as hard as you want but you need rest to recover from the stress your training will have on your body.
  • 34. Script voiceover (bulking and cutting) • There has been a lot of overcomplication when it comes to dieting for muscle size. What is scientifically backed is a surplus of 100-500 over your maintenance calories. This is proven to aid growth in muscle size. I would say a 200-calorie surplus is the best, as too much of a calorie surplus will cause too much bodyfat increase. While in a cut, which is a calorie deficit, It is harder to gain strength and size as your body needs food to grow and for energy.

  • 36. My editing style Why am I writing about my style? I am writing about my editing style because, I believe that when editing if you have already decided what type of style you will be editing in, it will enhance the videos quality, as well as help the video have a more consistent and coherent feel, as the style will stay the same. There won't be any editing that will seem out of place and will make the video more watchable. Secondly the process will be a lot smoother and quicker, as I won't have to think about how I am going to edit while I am about to start, it will have already been decided. This will make production a lot quicker so I can get more work done. My style For this project, I will be doing fast cuts. This is because my project is more of a web-based documentary, and through my research, it seems like all these videos are very short and straight to the point. I will somewhat be trying to emulate that, but I want to keep my own style. I like editing with music, I think music breaks are very important as it is very entertaining and can capture the mood you want for a certain scene. This is used by lots of people, but one that comes to mind is the Shrek movies.

Interview review • I am hoping these questions will help the interviewee to feel comfortable in front of camera, although I am not too concerned as I know he has some experience in-front of the camera. The first question being, what is your training style will hopefully be comfortable for him to do as it is talking about himself and he can sell himself, as he must do that regularly. This will hopefully make him more relaxed for the rest of the interview. The last question being how was your experience competing, I want a realistic response for this, as I know it was hard. I want to get that it is extremely difficult to compete. The question about when I can compete is there to relate it back to me as that is what the documentary is about, and the whole project is like me before competing.
  • 38. Ultraflex gym Ultra-flex: this is where a lot of my footage will be filmed including boxing, gym footage and an interview.
  • 39. Fonts I will use this font for when I am dating events. I am also going to be using the typewriter effect, so this font is exactly perfect. I like this font for my title of my project. It looks powerful but not too serious, which represents my documentary. For subtitles I did some research Alte Haas Grotesk is the font I think looks best because it is quite subtle and isn’t too fancy. I researched different forums to find that someone suggested this one.
  • 40. Final thoughts before I start filming I have checked out the schedule between now and the end of the project. I do believe I have to make some decisions on my production to save time. • No longer than a ten-minute video. I want to make a high-quality mini documentary. The longer I make it the less quality it will be. So, showing off a ten-minute video will be important. • No rotoscoping. I like rotoscoping. Do I think it's important to the overall video? No. I think the video will be better without it, and it may be wasted time with its in. • Have the ability to adapt. I think in theory, this planning is very good. But having the ability to adapt if a problem comes up is important. I can't just rely on this planning, even though yes, it is very important.

  • 43. Manage • Since I first started, I feel like I have learned that your whole project, If I don’t put the effort in there will be no project. Self-reliance is the skill I have realised over this last year. This is why when it comes to people, I have tried to be more assertive. For example, instead of asking someone if you can maybe do an interview some time, I will give a date and be straight forward. If someone gives me a maybe or I know is not reliable I won’t rely on them, and I think that is the smartest thing to do.

  • 45. Lighting Reflector Due to the lighting in the gym environment in which I will be filming, I will be using a reflector on my face as you can see the gym lighting gets rid of my face a lot. This will require someone to hold it. I have decided to use the smallest reflector that is the closest to the camera as it is what I will feel the most comfortable using and won't take much space to put in my bag. The gym is also a public area and have a big reflector could get in the way of people trying to work-out. I will most likely get Stephen Royle to hold this as he is who will be filming a lot of my content. Post lighting I am planning to desaturate the footage, and bring the reds and oranges in, and make them highly saturated. I think this will look well as it will make my muscles look more defined. I like having red and oranges still in it as red is dominant and makes me think of bodybuilding.
