What is it?
It is where someone is told something they don’t
need to know.
How does it distract you?
It can lead to you becoming confused with the
information you need and the information that you
don’t.
How can you avoid the distraction?
You could make a list of the information that you will
need so if someone does give you unneeded
information, just check the list of information so you
can get back on track with what you are saying.
3. Poor Proofreading
What is it?
It is where someone has missed some mistakes
when they have proofread either because they were
chatting to somebody or they were bored while they
checked and didn’t focus completely on proofreading.
How is it caused?
It can be due to a distraction being present, a friend
wanting to chat or a phone could be ringing and you.
