3. Research
A strength of my data is I was able to gather both qualitative and quantitative
data. I was able to gain this qualitative data as I interviewed two people
individually allowing me to gain more of an in depth answer to any question I
asked them. This allowed me to see what individual people want from
products like mine. I was able to gain quantitative data by handing out a
survey I had made based around the types of product I was going to make.
These surveys let me see what my audience as a whole looks for when buying
or looking at products like the one I made. This research helped my final
products as it let me gain an understanding of what my audience expects and
wants from these products resulting in products that are more appealing and
suited to my audience.
A weakness of my research however is that on the survey I feel I should have
asked more specific questions. Had I done this I feel like it would have made
my final products even better.
4. Planning
A strength of my planning is that it allowed me to pick the project that was
best suited to me. For my planning I initially made a spider diagram which I
used to list 3 main ideas and three products I would make based off of each
project idea. Whilst doing this I was able to list pros and cons of doing each
project and also see which project would have been best suited to me in
terms of production and how high a quality the products would have been.
For my planning after I picked my idea I made a more in depth spider diagram
this time only for the idea I had chosen for this project. Doing this helped my
products as I was able to plan what I wanted to do for this project in detail
resulting in higher quality products.
5. Time Management
I feel like I managed my time well on this project. I managed to keep to the
schedule I made and also finish the project on time. However if I had more
time to work on this project I feel as if I would have been able to make my
final products better. How ever I feel as if they are good enough as they
currently are.

8. I believe that my work does look good. Throughout all three pieces of work you
can see that red is used throughout, this is because the focus of these products
is Liverpool FC who's club colour is red. I included red so that the fans of the club
can instantly recognise it. From the start of this project I always wanted my
products to be bright and bold in design. I feel like I achieved this as my
magazine cover includes lots of red and yellow as does my t shirt.
9. My products should appeal to my audience because in my questionnaire the majority
of my audience said that they prefer photos of the players themselves rather than
photos of stadiums or fans. Knowing this I included multiple photos of players and
managers in order to appeal to my audience. Another thing my audience said is that
they prefer colourful and vibrant magazine covers rather than simple and minimal
designs. Using this information from the questionnaire I used lots of bright colours
such as red, yellow, blue and white on my magazine cover, T-shirt and double paged
spread.
11. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the products?
– I really like how vibrant the magazine cover is
– The t shirt design is very creative
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– I would simplify the t shirt slightly
12. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– I like how brightly coloured the t shirt is
– I really like the design of the magazine cover, it
pops on the page
– The double page spread was really informative
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– I would have included more stats in the double
paged spread
13. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– I like how colourful all the products were.
– I like how the t shirt looks, I would wear it myself.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– I would have made the double paged spread longer
– Make t shirt simpler
14. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer feedback?
– I agree with the comments about how colourful my products are. This
is something I wanted to do from the outset of this project, I wanted
to make colourful vibrant products which catch peoples eye.
– I agree with the comments that my T-shirt design is creative.
– I should have had my double page spread longer
• What do you disagree with from your peer feedback?
– I disagree that the T-shirt design is too complicated, personally this is
how I intended it to look and I don’t think its too much.
– Another comment I disagree with is that my magazine cover should be
more simple, I wanted my magazine to really catch the eye and stand
out which I think I have achieved.
15. Peer Feedback Summary
Based upon the feedback I have been given there are a couple of changes
that I would make to my products. For example I would add statistics to
my double paged spread. I believe that if id done this I would have
improved the overall quality of the double paged spread adding more
professionalism and information to it. Based on my feedback I would
change my t shirt design in order to make it look more simple. I
personally like the way it looks but two of the three people who gave
feedback suggested it so it may be something that the audience would
like. The last change I would make would be to make my double paged
spread, I would have done this originally but I was working under time
constraints. I believe it would have made this product better.
