The task I was givenwasto builda3D game level onunityusingthe basictoolsandtextures.Firstwe
startedoff makinga fewhillsandpaintingthemwiththe basictexturesandmakingafew cliff edges.
Afterwe got usedtousingthe basic textureswe wentonawebsite calledunityassetstore whichwe
couldgetdifferenttexturesandadd-onsfromtohelpusmake the level more creative. These images
of the centre of the map are where the mainhillsare.

On the unityassetstore we wasable to search forthe differenttypesof objectswe wantedinour
map withthe searchbar or he differentdropdowns. We couldonlydownloadthe assetsthatwere
free.There were lotsof cool assetsthatwere at costs butwe had to findthe free ones.

Thisis howmy mapturnedout afterthe differentassetsdownloadedfromthe unityassetstore
online.The differenttexturesthatIdownloadedwereacampfire set,alava brickterrainand a few
differentstone textures.Ialsodownloadedafew settingslike acampfire pack,treesanda few
differenttents.
Withthe lavaand stone texturesImade a volcanointhe cornerof my mapand to do thisI had to
make the hillsbutwitha sharpertool and thengeta watertexture thenplace alavasurface overthe
top of it. The lavaon the insidesandoutof the volcano wasmade witha terrainpaintof the lava
brickto give itthe feel of avolcano. So I don’tgo underthe lavainthe volcanoIhad to add an
invisible planeone level underneathsoitlookslike youare floatinginit.

pack. The thingsthat I usedfromthisare the barrels,campfire
woodand a tent.

Withthe objectsthatwe placed,we hadto add colliderstothembecause theywere showingonthe
map butyou couldjustwalkstraightthroughthem.The collidertool helpedthe objectsappearasa
solidsothat I couldnot walkthroughit.
I alsohad to add planeswiththe waterpool thatI createdsurroundedwithastone scene.This
image showsthe plane selectedandyoucan see thatit isinvisible.The plane canbe setto anylevel
but whenitisjustbelowthe wateryoudon’tgo too far underor floatabove it.
Thiswaterpool is locatedinthe centre of the maphiddeninthe mountains.

Withthe planes,beforeIplacedthemIaddeda texture toit soI could see exactlywhere itwas
beingplace assometimesitwouldbe stickingoutthe sidesandI wouldn’tnotice. Inthisscreenshot
youcan see the edge of the plane asI textureditandit was stickingoutthe side of the volcano.
I alsocreateda village outof the downloadablecontentavailablefromthe assettstore.Itinvolvesa
full house set,atentand a campfire.Inside of the tentithasa chair andtable whichwasalsofrom a
downloadablepack.
All the housesthatI put outin the village came outas a randomspawnand that showswhytheyare
all differentshapesandsizes.

In thisimage youcan see that I use to have the tentat its original colour,white.
The chairs and tablesthatcame inthe pack alsocame witha texture thatyouhad to applywhen
placedinthe map as theycame as a plainwhite skin.WhenIwasapplyingthe skin/texture ontothe
table andchair I had the tentselectedsoIaccidentlyplaceditonthe tentbut it alsomade the tent
lookbetterthanthe original colour.Inthe image below youcansee the inside of the tentwiththe
woodentexture thatisalsoplacedonthe table andchair.
I was goingto place a fewmore chairsto go aroundthe table butwhentheyare placedintothe map
it spawnsbothtable andchair.
