A seasoned and accomplished professional with senior executive experience and strong international exposure,
Jacques Erasmus is known and respected in the mining industry as a front-footed, highly-skilled Financial Management

has enjoyed significant career promotion in his extensive service to KPMG Inc., and currently leads as Head of Mining
for KPMG Southern Africa, where he functions as key subject matter expert for the gold, platinum and coal industry in

In a career leap, Jacques relocated to Canada in 2011 to take up a partnership in the KPMG Calgary office, and
acquired his Canadian Chartered Accountancy qualification. In this position, Jacques managed the audit of key
international clients. Career exposure has thus enabled audit experience in diverse industries, including mining, oil and
gas, chemicals, contract exploration drilling, and construction.
Furthermore, Jacques has led multi-disciplinary teams in transaction services, unbundling transaction and various other
due diligence assignments. In addition he has lead numerous restructuring and cost optimisation projects for the major
gold and platinum producers in Africa. Competencies extend to accounting expertise covering International Financial
Reporting Standards and US GAAP, and significant SOX experience on various mining clients. Jacques has managed
