Summary of Experience
Jack’s experience with ERP spans over twenty years. Jack began with SAP as a technical developer and evolved into
an SAP-MM PP consultant. He built and ran an SAP consulting practice from 30 to almost 400 consultants and led a team
to subcontract to SAP for the development of the ASAP methodology that is currently used by SAP to this day. Jack has
acted as primary project manager or program manager to oversight over 25 full cycle SAP implementations. During recent
years he led the first implementation of SAP Warehouse Management in a project that ultimately became the Navy’s
template for implementation of SAP WM in over 120 locations. In the last year Jack has led his time to build SAP interfaces
to leading mobility and manufacturing applications that extend SAP functionality. Jack currently performs ERP cross-
industry selection projects for SMB’s spanning multiple ERP products.
Jack is a United States Army Veteran, senior executive and Enterprise Architect with 25+ years of experience in helping
businesses leverage their enterprise information technology investments. His experience spans the private, public and
military sectors, with hands-on leadership roles that include Program Management, Senior Management Advisor and
Senior Solutions Architect. Jack spent the last 13 years supporting Navy and DOD SAP Warehouse Management,
pRFID and logistics mobility solutions adapted as the standard throughout the Navy and DOD enterprise and the last year
advising the Air Force regarding Enterprise Mobility solutions and architecture.
Jack recently wrapped up two years as Senior Mobility Architect Air Force engagement providing enterprise mobile
strategy and architecture support for the Air Force where enterprise wide requirements were delivered to the Air Force
CTO to become part of the next generation mobile architecture.
As a Trusted Advisor to a large client for implementation of a $30 million complex SAP multi-site, multi-
company, international logistics distribution and warehousing operation Jack ran an 18-month accelerated
delivery project. Under this project the team implemented 21 large warehouse facilities in 15 countries and placed 6.4
Million SF of warehouse space and 2000 employees, speaking 11 different languages under SAP Warehouse
Management.
Jack has extensive business SAP functional and SAP technical experience in supply chain management, discrete
and repetitive manufacturing, distribution and logistics execution and materials management in a variety of commercial
industries. These industries include SAP implementations in chemicals, automotive distribution, electronics,
and professional services industries. He has also worked in a variety of computing environments including web-
based, client/server, midrange and mainframe.
He served as contract program manager and subsequently as hands-on project manager for the first Department
of Defense (DOD) Navy program to implement wireless based SAP Warehouse Management with pRFID in
support of Trident Nuclear Submarine Operations and maintenance in Bangor Washington. This program was a
groundbreaking component of Navy ERP and served as the template for the Navy’s enterprise implementation of
Warehouse Management now operating in 120 Navy warehouses globally.
Senior architect and project manager for the design and implementation of cellular based wireless solutions to
provide the U.S. Navy’s first ever secure mobile AIT device communications solution with an enterprise Mobile
Device Management (MDM) platform. This is targeted at managing thousands of mobile wireless devices across many
Navy organizations and is now a formal system called Navy Mobile Computing.
Senior Architect and project manager for the U.S. Navy’s RAVE (RFID Asset Visibility Enterprise) project to
design and implement the world’s first enterprise RFID tracking system. This unique, award winning architecture
provided enterprise level RFID based material movement tracking capable of supporting multiple DOD organizations
and piloted with the Navy enterprise.
Senior Logistics Enterprise Architect to U.S. Department of Defense in the Office of the Secretary of Defense
designing the DoD Supply Chain end-to-end processes of the future. These processes brought together the best

of the commercial Supply Chain Operational Reference (SCOR) model with DOD processes and practices to provide
a standard against which ERP and other key logistics systems effectiveness could be measured.
Primary hands on technical architect, designer and team leader for an Oracle based 4PL solution for a major DOD
contractor targeted at large scale 4PL integration of major portions of the DOD supply chain.
Jack is currently engaged as a Senior ERP Consultant and trusted advisor in the selection and deployment of
multiple ERP solutions and a senior partner in Edgecliff Technology Innovators.
Business Experience
 President and COO – Edgecliff Technology Innovators, LLC (2012-Current)
Currently responsible for coordination and staffing of all ETI company client operations. In addition to Jack’s
direct billing activities (Summary above) Jack has responsibility for the creation of all government, logistics,
mobility, and integration solutions sets and continues to support several DOD, Federal and municipal
initiatives.
Senior Architect to Headquarters Air Force, Commercial Mobile Technology Office (2014-2015)
Provide mobility strategy advice and assistance to the Headquarters Air Force, Commercial Mobile
Technology Office regarding Air Force enterprise architecture and strategy including vetting mobility
requirements for the Air Force’ Target Baseline architecture, reviewing mobile Automatic Identification
Technology (AIT) and assisting in problem resolution with existing AIT architecture and working with various
Air Force organizations to resolve current mobility related issues.
Senior Logistics Enterprise Architect, DOD Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) (2013-2014)
Designing the DoD Supply Chain end-to-end processes of the future for inclusion in the Business Enterprise
Architecture (BEA). These processes brought together the best of the commercial Supply Chain Operational
Reference (SCOR) model with DOD processes and practices to provide a standard against which ERP and
other key logistics systems effectiveness could be measured. Build end-to-end models of all DOD logistics
processes, mapped to performance measures / metrics and proposed changes to the current DOD
Architecture to bring efficiency to the OSD systems evaluation process.
 Vice President, Senior Consultant, and Senior ERP Architect - Main Sail, LLC(2002-2012)
Jack held Leadership roles in ERP logistics projects management and oversight for DOD, Navy and DOE
implementations. He also acts as a Senior Solutions Architect for Business Development activities and
Trusted Advisor to key clients.
Project Manager for the first DOD Navy program to implement SAP Warehouse Management with
RFID and wireless AIT (named BRE – Bangor RFID Evaluation). This was the first time these technologies
had been implemented together for the Navy and the work was done in support of U.S. Navy Trident Nuclear
Submarine Operations and maintenance program in Bangor Washington. This program was a
groundbreaking component of Navy ERP and is the template for the first Navy ERP warehouse and logistics
implementations that use pRFID and other advanced AIT. The resulting solution from the BRE has been
implemented at over 100 Navy warehouses globally.
Jack was the senior architect and program manager for implementation of the Navy’s first MDM
(Mobile Device Management) system initially used for securely managing all Navy ERP AIT wireless
handhelds, currently being expanded to manage wireless handheld devices across other areas of the Navy.

Senior Architect and designer for create RFID solutions for a large Department of Energy contractor.
This solution is used in a highly classified environment to track the location and movement of critical assets
throughout a large facility, including equipping forklifts with unique automated “inventory by just driving
around” capability.
Senior architect and program manager for the first ever, Enterprise passive RFID Asset Visibility
(RAVE) system now replacing traditional site server based approaches and opening the door for expansion
of pRFID based asset tracking across the Navy and DOD enterprise.
As Main Sail’s Senior Solutions Architect authors and reviewed every business development RFP responses
across the broad spectrum of technologies supported by Main Sail including SAP, Oracle, wireless mobility
solutions, RFID solutions, Web Methods based solutions and many related types of responses.
 Senior Vice President for CCAI (a Global ERP Consulting Company (1994-2002):
Jack led a technical team to develop a unique SAP Assessment and Upgrade methodology and tool
set enabling the company to compete in the SAP Upgrade marketplace. The proprietary approach ties
detailed technical objects to business processes allowing an SAP upgrade or assessment team to quickly
determine which business processes are affected by technical work that has been done in a system. The
toolset then takes this information to the next level and performs upgrade time estimates. It builds on the
types of information provided by SAP’s Reverse Business Engineer and required an in-depth technical
understanding of SAP’s internal object structure.
Program Manager and trusted advisor to a client for implementation of a $30 million complex SAP based
multi-site, multi-company, international logistics distribution operation compressed into an 18-month delivery
timeframe and comprised of several individual sub-projects staffed with over 150 people. Under this program
the team implemented 21 warehouse facilities in 15 countries. This placed 6.4 Million SF of warehouse space
and 2000 employees, speaking 11 different languages under SAP Warehouse Management.
As a Senior Vice President Jack was responsible for the growth of the SAP Practice from 3 consultants to
nearly 400 and increased corporate revenue growth from $20 million to $62 million. Responsible for
managing all aspects of the consulting business including staffing, service delivery and marketing with bottom
line responsibility for financial performance. Management responsibilities have also included oversight of
field administrative staff, IT Support Operations and systems.
While growing the consulting business, performed roles as Senior Business Consultant and/or Project
Manager in a variety of settings with responsibility for multi-project oversight and on-target delivery. Served
as SAP MM, PP and PM consultant for various clients in both the SAP R2 (IBM Mainframe) and R3 (Client
Server) environments.
Utilizing past IBM Mainframe experience, Jack served as a Senior Consultant to Timken Bearing Corporation
for Materials Management and MRP planning configuration. While on assignment at Timken, Jack developed
complete Data Archiving tools and documentation for SAP on the R2 Mainframe platform utilizing CICS and
related IBM functionality to enhance archiving processes. He, also developed SAP Object Migration Tracking
system using a combination of SAP ABAP, IBM Mainframe CICS and Batch techniques.
Led the company in two major acquisitions of other corporations and insuring the successful assimilation
of the personnel and practices. Served as a trusted advisor to two large consulting companies providing
advice and assistance in starting and structuring their SAP ERP practices.

In over 16 years of SAP ERP experience exercised a full range of consulting skills including direct consulting
roles involving expertise in Logistics, Manufacturing, Sales and Distribution, Materials Management,
Financials, Plant Maintenance and software development.
 Senior Consultant and Project Leader, ICI North America Ltd. (1988 – 1993): Senior Project Manager
for the installation of SAP software in a variety of client environments including many process and discrete
manufacturing and distribution operations in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Responsibilities also
included implementing other non-SAP corporate wide systems such as Payroll, Project Accounting and Shop
Floor Scheduling, across 16 subsidiary organizations.
Prior to serving as Senior Project Manager performed as the SAP Technical Team Lead for rollout of SAP
R2 on an IBM Mainframe across multiple locations with high volume data requirements. Personally wrote
over 250 ABAP programs covering a broad variety of functions including enhanced screens, reports, dynamic
legacy system interfaces and data migration programs. Wrote custom interfaces between SAP, the IBM
Mainframe and chemical monitoring equipment. Jack led the technical team to rollout the developed solutions
throughout all the project sites.
 Independent Business Consultant, (1983 - 1991): Served as consultant and advisor to top management
in a series of small start-up companies. In several cases took an active role in management or ownership.
In each case the primary goal was to assist the company in properly focusing its products, services and staff
in the information technology marketplace. Responsibilities typically included: (1) preparation and
presentation of Business plans; (2) Justification, procurement and management of private and public
financing ($500K - $5 million packages); (3) Presentations to investors, directors, stockholders and major
customers and vendors; (4) Software product release management; (4) Advertising and media
management; and (6) Significant personal sales of products to key customers.
 Division Director, Western Data Corporation (1982-1983): Led a successful start-up of the timesharing
and packaged software product division. This accounted for a significant portion of corporate revenues ($15
million) and profits. Responsible for location and acquisition of several timesharing companies which were
then integrated into the operation to increase profits and broaden the customer base.
Primary systems architect for construction of the companies Service Bureau architecture and
implementation. Jack led a team to develop high speed interfaces between DEC 1170, HP and IBM 370
Mainframes. This architecture allowed Western Data to open several new significant corporate accounts in
the Seattle area and the architecture was later adopted by Boeing Computer Services, a large IBM Mainframe
operation in the area.
 President, Nordata Inc. (1980-1982): Led the company through a financial turnaround of 400% growth
(sales of $10 million). During this period selling expenses decreased 34% and net profit increased 716%.
During this time changed the company net worth from a substantially negative to a positive position.
Successfully obtained financial commitments through a business plan that was executed and formed the
basis of the turnaround plan. Nordata refurbished and enhanced DEC 1170 equipment for specialized use
in large corporate environments. As President of Nordata Jack also served as CTO and led the architecture

development, programming and implementation of interfaces between DEC and IBM 370 equipment. Jack
developed an interface meta-language that controlled the interaction between the DEC equipment, its
specialized peripherals and the other DEC and IBM platforms. This development was unique at the time and
was adopted as a standard architecture by several companies. (today’s equivalent would be an EAI
architecture with connectors to various platforms)
 Data Processing Manager, Bayliner Marine Corporation (1975-1980): For the largest pleasure boat
manufacturer in the United States: Built a data processing operation which was considered one of the best
in the region by DEC and Bayliner management. Personally designed and led the project to implement via
“ground up development”, a multi-plant, Order Processing, Inventory Control and Manufacturing
Requirements Planning (MRP) system which received national recognition in several industry publications
and was videotaped by DEC for use in a national marketing campaign. While also the CTO for Bayliner led
the team to design, program and implement a one of the first multi-user shared data base system for the
Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) hardware platform written in DEC Advanced BASIC and DEC
Assembler language. This DBMS because a standard in the DEC community and was also the software
platform on which Bayliner’s MRP, Logistics and Manufacturing custom solutions were built. Designed the
architecture for and subsequently programmed and implemented one of the first multiple DEC computer to
IBM 360/370 interfaces for high speed interactive data exchange. Personally programmed and implemented
the high speed connectors for the IBM and the DEC side of the interface.
Volunteer Experience
Jack was selected by the Governor of Ohio to participate as a member of the Ohio Governors Cyber
Security Economic Development Counsel tasked with creating the future vision for network and cyber
security business for the state of Ohio.
Military Experience
Captain, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
As the youngest Captain in the Corps of Engineers (age 21) was directly responsible for 14 million dollars (180
projects) of critical construction from design through completion. These included an airfield, buildings, high voltage
power distribution systems, a world-wide data and voice communication center, fuel storage tanks, etc. Designed
and programmed one of the Corps of Engineers first Project Management planning systems to run on IBM 360
equipment. This was used to run various large construction projects throughout Vietnam’s Delta Region.
Conceived and presented a plan to Joint Chiefs of Staff, which used computer technology to structure and
coordinate NATO emergency defensive plans for European ground and air forces (500 military units, 200 storage
depots, 20,000 target areas). This was one of the first combined targeting and logistics systems of its kind. Both
programmed and led the design and implementation team. The system was implemented on multiple-distributed
IBM 360 systems and later upgraded to run on IBM 370 OS systems in USAEUR.
Produced award winning designs for a unique hexagonal military operations center and communications facility.
These designs were later incorporated into the Army-wide standard for high level command and control centers.
Awarded the Bronze Star, and other decorations for various combat operations in Vietnam and cold war operations
in various locations of the European Theater. Jack was also awarded one of the only Bronze Stars in Vietnam for

Jack began with SAP as a technical developer and evolved into an SAP-MM PP consultant. He built and ran an SAP consulting practice from 30 to almost 400 consultants and led a team to subcontract to SAP for the development of the ASAP methodology that is currently used by SAP to this day. Jack has acted as primary project manager or program manager to oversight over 25 full cycle SAP implementations. During recent years he led the first implementation of SAP Warehouse Management in a project that ultimately became the Navy’s template for implementation of SAP WM in over 120 locations. In the last year Jack has led his time to build SAP interfaces to leading mobility and manufacturing applications that extend SAP functionality. Jack currently performs ERP cross- industry selection projects for SMB’s spanning multiple ERP products. Jack is a United States Army Veteran, senior executive and Enterprise Architect with 25+ years of experience in helping businesses leverage their enterprise information technology investments. His experience spans the private, public and military sectors, with hands-on leadership roles that include Program Management, Senior Management Advisor and Senior Solutions Architect. Jack spent the last 13 years supporting Navy and DOD SAP Warehouse Management, pRFID and logistics mobility solutions adapted as the standard throughout the Navy and DOD enterprise and the last year advising the Air Force regarding Enterprise Mobility solutions and architecture. Jack recently wrapped up two years as Senior Mobility Architect Air Force engagement providing enterprise mobile strategy and architecture support for the Air Force where enterprise wide requirements were delivered to the Air Force CTO to become part of the next generation mobile architecture. As a Trusted Advisor to a large client for implementation of a $30 million complex SAP multi-site, multi- company, international logistics distribution and warehousing operation Jack ran an 18-month accelerated delivery project. Under this project the team implemented 21 large warehouse facilities in 15 countries and placed 6.4 Million SF of warehouse space and 2000 employees, speaking 11 different languages under SAP Warehouse Management. Jack has extensive business SAP functional and SAP technical experience in supply chain management, discrete and repetitive manufacturing, distribution and logistics execution and materials management in a variety of commercial industries. These industries include SAP implementations in chemicals, automotive distribution, electronics, and professional services industries. He has also worked in a variety of computing environments including web- based, client/server, midrange and mainframe. He served as contract program manager and subsequently as hands-on project manager for the first Department of Defense (DOD) Navy program to implement wireless based SAP Warehouse Management with pRFID in support of Trident Nuclear Submarine Operations and maintenance in Bangor Washington. This program was a groundbreaking component of Navy ERP and served as the template for the Navy’s enterprise implementation of Warehouse Management now operating in 120 Navy warehouses globally. Senior architect and project manager for the design and implementation of cellular based wireless solutions to provide the U.S. Navy’s first ever secure mobile AIT device communications solution with an enterprise Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform. He also acts as a Senior Solutions Architect for Business Development activities and Trusted Advisor to key clients. Project Manager for the first DOD Navy program to implement SAP Warehouse Management with RFID and wireless AIT (named BRE – Bangor RFID Evaluation). This was the first time these technologies had been implemented together for the Navy and the work was done in support of U.S. Navy Trident Nuclear Submarine Operations and maintenance program in Bangor Washington. This solution is used in a highly classified environment to track the location and movement of critical assets throughout a large facility, including equipping forklifts with unique automated “inventory by just driving around” capability. Senior architect and program manager for the first ever, Enterprise passive RFID Asset Visibility (RAVE) system now replacing traditional site server based approaches and opening the door for expansion of pRFID based asset tracking across the Navy and DOD enterprise. The proprietary approach ties detailed technical objects to business processes allowing an SAP upgrade or assessment team to quickly determine which business processes are affected by technical work that has been done in a system. The toolset then takes this information to the next level and performs upgrade time estimates. It builds on the types of information provided by SAP’s Reverse Business Engineer and required an in-depth technical understanding of SAP’s internal object structure. (1988 – 1993): Senior Project Manager for the installation of SAP software in a variety of client environments including many process and discrete manufacturing and distribution operations in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Responsibilities also included implementing other non-SAP corporate wide systems such as Payroll, Project Accounting and Shop Floor Scheduling, across 16 subsidiary organizations. Prior to serving as Senior Project Manager performed as the SAP Technical Team Lead for rollout of SAP R2 on an IBM Mainframe across multiple locations with high volume data requirements. Personally wrote over 250 ABAP programs covering a broad variety of functions including enhanced screens, reports, dynamic legacy system interfaces and data migration programs. Jack led the technical team to rollout the developed solutions throughout all the project sites.  Independent Business Consultant, (1983 - 1991): Served as consultant and advisor to top management in a series of small start-up companies. In several cases took an active role in management or ownership. In each case the primary goal was to assist the company in properly focusing its products, services and staff in the information technology marketplace. Responsibilities typically included: (1) preparation and presentation of Business plans; (2) Justification, procurement and management of private and public financing ($500K - $5 million packages); (3) Presentations to investors, directors, stockholders and major customers and vendors; (4) Software product release management; (4) Advertising and media management; and (6) Significant personal sales of products to key customers.  Division Director, Western Data Corporation (1982-1983): Led a successful start-up of the timesharing and packaged software product division. This accounted for a significant portion of corporate revenues ($15 million) and profits. Responsible for location and acquisition of several timesharing companies which were then integrated into the operation to increase profits and broaden the customer base. Primary systems architect for construction of the companies Service Bureau architecture and implementation. Jack led a team to develop high speed interfaces between DEC 1170, HP and IBM 370 Mainframes. This architecture allowed Western Data to open several new significant corporate accounts in the Seattle area and the architecture was later adopted by Boeing Computer Services, a large IBM Mainframe operation in the area.  President, Nordata Inc. (1980-1982): Led the company through a financial turnaround of 400% growth (sales of $10 million). During this period selling expenses decreased 34% and net profit increased 716%. During this time changed the company net worth from a substantially negative to a positive position. Successfully obtained financial commitments through a business plan that was executed and formed the basis of the turnaround plan. Jack developed an interface meta-language that controlled the interaction between the DEC equipment, its specialized peripherals and the other DEC and IBM platforms. This development was unique at the time and was adopted as a standard architecture by several companies. (today’s equivalent would be an EAI architecture with connectors to various platforms)  Data Processing Manager, Bayliner Marine Corporation (1975-1980): For the largest pleasure boat manufacturer in the United States: Built a data processing operation which was considered one of the best in the region by DEC and Bayliner management. Personally designed and led the project to implement via “ground up development”, a multi-plant, Order Processing, Inventory Control and Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP) system which received national recognition in several industry publications and was videotaped by DEC for use in a national marketing campaign. While also the CTO for Bayliner led the team to design, program and implement a one of the first multi-user shared data base system for the Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) hardware platform written in DEC Advanced BASIC and DEC Assembler language. This DBMS because a standard in the DEC community and was also the software platform on which Bayliner’s MRP, Logistics and Manufacturing custom solutions were built. Designed the architecture for and subsequently programmed and implemented one of the first multiple DEC computer to IBM 360/370 interfaces for high speed interactive data exchange. Personally programmed and implemented the high speed connectors for the IBM and the DEC side of the interface. Volunteer Experience Jack was selected by the Governor of Ohio to participate as a member of the Ohio Governors Cyber Security Economic Development Counsel tasked with creating the future vision for network and cyber security business for the state of Ohio. Military Experience Captain, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers As the youngest Captain in the Corps of Engineers (age 21) was directly responsible for 14 million dollars (180 projects) of critical construction from design through completion. These included an airfield, buildings, high voltage power distribution systems, a world-wide data and voice communication center, fuel storage tanks, etc. Designed and programmed one of the Corps of Engineers first Project Management planning systems to run on IBM 360 equipment. This was used to run various large construction projects throughout Vietnam’s Delta Region. Conceived and presented a plan to Joint Chiefs of Staff, which used computer technology to structure and coordinate NATO emergency defensive plans for European ground and air forces (500 military units, 200 storage depots, 20,000 target areas). This was one of the first combined targeting and logistics systems of its kind. Both programmed and led the design and implementation team. The system was implemented on multiple-distributed IBM 360 systems and later upgraded to run on IBM 370 OS systems in USAEUR. Produced award winning designs for a unique hexagonal military operations center and communications facility. These designs were later incorporated into the Army-wide standard for high level command and control centers. Awarded the Bronze Star, and other decorations for various combat operations in Vietnam and cold war operations in various locations of the European Theater.
