Notas do Editor
Following many years of producing multimedia presentations for weekend services and special projects for church, a new vision of becoming an Entrepreneur took shape during the last days of my Dad’s life in the Fall of 2004. A slideshow was created honoring Dad with captions of special milestones of meaningful, enriching, happy times of his life. My Aunt Mary passed away three years later, and a similar creation was produced for her. The computer froze at the time it was to start at the end of the funeral service, which threw me into a downward spiral in the weeks, months, and years that followed. Powerpoint no longer served me as a media tool that I could count on at such a critical moment, knowing the masterpiece that I had created. Failure on my part has brought on self-inflicted misery to the cousins that I dearly love. After I started attending at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Liberty, the media director asked me if I would consider becoming the multimedia technologist at their KCI campus, located just east of the airport terminals for people living in Platte County. I accepted, and found new delight in the Final Cut Pro software, and have decided to once again explore possibilities for starting the business, at a time that I had a shoulder accident in January, effectively removing me from my job. I believe that the Lord has conducted me to be here with you all to gain insight about the unknowns that I have been reluctant to explore on my own in a commercial world that is increasingly tough as nails to deal with. Competition, exacting attention to detail by fusing THE moment between a photo of a parent reading the bible at bedtime with the lyrics of Amazing Grace in the second where it causes a person to reflect about their own life and another name get added to the Book of Life in Heaven. This is the principal reason I am in class with you…to discover what I have been afraid of in the realm of human life, whose puppeteer is the deceiver of all life. As for me, I have decided to follow Jesus, publically accepting Him in the Henrietta First Baptist Church in the 2nd pew row on January 5, 1990 at 11:55 AM. It is my hope now to make this a meaningful and useful tool to people that I may never know to ponder and ultimately accept Jesus, increasing the harvest of souls that will forever be in the presence of the only Author and Creator of life, God Almighty. Will I progress into problems? Yes. Will I give up again, before or after the launch of business? Maybe, however, not likely. If my Maker is for me, then who can possibly be against me that I can not overcome. In this nasty, ugly world that we call home, evil is everywhere. Temptations (negative impacts) verses tests (positive outcomes), people verses people, kidnappers verses children, abortion activists verses pro lifer’s, terrorists verses innocents, governments verses governments. Say and think what you may prefer. For my perspective, all of these negative concepts and realities verses positive outcomes and attributes come down to this verse from the Holy Bible in jl 1:1 “the only way to Heaven is a public acknowledgement of the one and only Jesus Christ as my Risen Savior”. Personally, I believe that the Holy Bible is the rule and guide of our faith and practice on this side of Heaven. I do not require that I see the harvest of lives changed, because I am a seed planter, and I want to show just cause for my belief of faith. I would rather have faith and believe, rather than not have believed at all, just to find out the real truth at the last breath of life you take. How about YOU?
