Jardine Engineering Corporation (JEC)
is a leading provider of engineering
services, products sourcing and
contracting expertise. Established
in Shanghai in 1923, JEC is now
headquartered in Hong Kong and
operates throughout Asia. JEC is wholly
owned by Jardine Pacific and is a
member of the Jardine Matheson Group.
The company’s engineering contracting
expertise helps deliver world-class
operating standards at its customers’
facilities, through the design, supply,
installation and integration of building
systems and specialised processes.
JEC also provides facility management,
operations and maintenance services,
asset enhancement and energy
management, and the sourcing of
electrical and mechanical equipment
and architectural fixtures.
In Hong Kong and Thailand, JEC
has a joint venture partnership
with Trane, a global leader in air
conditioning systems, services and
solutions. JEC provides contracting
and maintenance services to critical
facility infrastructure in Greater
China with its strategic partner,
Chung Hing Engineers. In China,
Cummins Jardine Energy Solution,
JEC’s joint venture with Cummins
Power Generation, provides one-stop
gas power generation solutions. In
the Philippines, JEC manages the
wholesale distribution of agricultural
products and construction supplies
through Jardine Distribution, Inc.

JEC pioneers the provision and operation of Building Automation
Systems and information management for facilities, delivering cost
management and waste reduction in energy usage, security, heating
and cooling, as well as monitoring and managing data from EM
and plant equipment. We can also undertake live traffic monitoring,
such as in retail outlets, for data analysis or security.
Our experienced personnel adapt to each customer’s needs,
tuning and integrating Building Automation System solutions for:
building management, access control, intruder alarms, surveillance,
signal monitoring, public address, walkie talkies, Communal Aerial
Broadcast Distribution SMATV, and radio frequency identification.
Our ever-expanding range of products, expertise and techniques
provide Asia’s most outstanding Building Automation System
services.
JEC is proficient at delivering planned maintenance and overhaul, emergency
repairs, and system retrofits. We operate numerous commercial and other
facilities to world-class standards, including electrical, heating, ventilation
and air-conditioning systems, fire protection, security, building management,
and plumbing systems. Our constant-standby emergency response units
provide 24-hour callout services that minimise disturbance to tenants’ daily
operations.
We support financial services companies with preventive maintenance for
critical data centre facilities equipment, including the maintenance of main
switchboards, chilled water fan coil units, control panels, water leak detection,
auto dialler systems, lighting and power and Power Distribution Unit power
readings.
JEC’s integrated customised fire protection solutions embrace innovative and
effective smoke curtains, fire detection systems, fire alarm control panels and
fire extinguishers. We offer a round-the-clock Fire Signal Monitoring Service,

installation of electrical and mechanical systems
in buildings, infrastructure and environmental
engineering projects, together with system
integration of specialised processes.

JEC provides services and contracting solutions across
Asia, in diverse technological fields serving every
sector, from installing specialised environmental control
systems for metro stations to our comprehensive
ME capabilities serving shopping malls, airports,
commercial space and more. We install and maintain
air-conditioning and ventilation services, along with
electrical, power, product supply, communications and
fire systems, security management, public address
and CCTV systems – backed by an integrated building
automation system. Our deep relationships with clients
allow probing analysis leading to creative technical
proposals.
For decades, JEC has designed, supplied, and installed
innovative healthcare solutions using top performance-
proven technologies that enable hospitals to smoothly
meet the needs of patients, doctors and all healthcare
providers, such as pneumatic tube systems that speed
vital materials around hospital complexes.
We are one of the few companies certified by
Thailand’s National Environmental Balancing Bureau as
able to undertake testing, adjusting and balancing of
heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems. At our
building information modelling (BIM) Centre – the first
in Thailand – JEC staff hone advanced technical skills

JEC delivers comprehensive solutions for environmental engineering –
such as mechanising and automating major water treatment facilities
under the Hong Kong Government’s Total Water Management Strategy.
Wastewater treatment is a special focus, including primary treatment,
biological treatment, ultraviolet disinfection systems and chlorination
technology to eradicate unwanted contaminants and bacteria at sewage
treatment works.
Life-sustaining water also has recreational uses and JEC is today
a leading designer of swimming pool filtration systems, approved
by the Hong Kong Government as a specialist contractor for public
swimming pools. Our capabilities in water systems range from features
such as fountains and mist attractions to providing clean and healthy
environments for aquatic animal exhibits.
Making journeys easier
JEC’s capabilities in transport and logistics are seen in high-profile
projects and clients across the region, often in highly challenging
active environments. Our extensive experience working with major
infrastructure operators across Asia enhances journey experiences
for the travelling public.
JEC installs and maintains world class transport handling systems,
including upgrading the baggage handling system at Hong Kong
International Airport. Catering for close to 70 million passengers a
year and growing, this is now one of the largest, most sophisticated
and reliable such systems in the world, thanks to our flexibility,
which ensured smooth operation during on-time and high-quality
implementation. Airport efficiency and security are further served by
our screening metal detectors and x-ray machines.
On the railways, JEC integrated development solutions and rail
operations include specialist and rail depot equipment, construction
services, built technologies and support services. Rail operations for
Hong Kong’s MTRC, the Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand, railways
and metro systems in China showcase our project management
expertise and technical competence in hardware and software
integration, as well as premium maintenance services, for clients
