1. Title: Product Analyst

Overview:
This position is responsible for supporting the product management function and related activities
including: intelligence gathering, composing documentation (policy, product, or project), assist in defining
the product vision and working closely with other Business Units (Client Management, Operations,
Technology, Security, Fraud and Marketing & Communications) to provide accurate product knowledge.
This individual will support the Product Manager by adding advanced analytics to manage existing
products and to contribute to the design and development of product enhancements through the
performance of such activities as: customer needs analysis; insight development; monitoring and tracking
product and service performance.
Things you need to have:
University Degree or College Diploma in Business, Economics, Marketing, or as a combination of
on the job training and equivalent experience.
3-5 years experience in a product management or product development role
Financial industry experience strongly desired
Experience in online and/or mobile payments is preferred
It would also help if you had:
Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
Passionate about technology, web savvy, early adopter
Strong planning, analytical and evaluative skills in order to actively manage priorities
Strong communication skills, both written and oral, to ensure plans and product development
presentations are clearly communicated, understood and effectively applied
Comfortable in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment,
Exposure to annual budget and forecast processes
Ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve a common goal
Ability to write clear, concise reports and documentation
Solid critical thinking, analytical and problem resolution skills to analyze trends and impacts,
identify options and implications, and propose practical solutions
Knowledge of the payment processing industry in Canada and electronic delivery systems
Commitment to excellence in member, shareholder, and stakeholder relations and service
Creative, self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
What you will be doing:
Research and Analysis: Gather appropriate research by exploring global and domestic market trends,
compile and summarize domestic and international research on key products, services, organizations,
trends and issues within the industry
Product & Service Management: Monitor and track existing product performance by assembling data
from multiple sources – internal and external - and the preparation of summary reports Analyze trends to
support forecasts, budgets, strategies, opportunity assessments and business cases Analyze the
potential impact of product enhancement opportunities
Product & Service Development: Analyze the potential and risk of various opportunities evaluating
costs, adoption, and/or P&L Develop product requirements, including financial projections, to support
proposed product enhancements and upgrades Contribute to and document business cases, including
analysis of qualitative and quantitative factors, ROI evaluations, analysis of strategic/competitive,
financial, technical, government/regulatory requirements and other stakeholder variables
