I am a time served apprentice with Thorn EMI Naval Systems Division, holding an HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. I was a service engineer for 10 years repairing, servicing and commissioning all types of industrial controls, fault finding down to component level. Since September 2001, I have worked for Transocean. One year in the North Sea as an Electronic Technician on the Sedco 704, an anchored semi, responsible for installation, maintenance and repair of all electronic controls and instrumentation on board.
