6. Cut off the handles and soak the kete in hot water to soften, I add a little fabric softener. Drain after about half an hour. I pre-soak bags for antenatal classes.
7. Reshape the kete into a basket shape. Turn the top of the bag inwards and shape it how you want it to be when dry, it can be rectangular or boat shaped, flatten the base.
8. There is no right or wrong! As long as it ends up container shaped it will be fine!
9. Either turn in the corners of the base as shown or leave them sticking out for a more boat shaped base.
10. Shape the other kete into the lid, turn the top of the bag in as far as the bottom of the bag and flatten it.
11. Now you have the top and base, it will be a tight fit at this stage whilst wet, but when dry (in 2 or 3 days) it will be soft and you will easily be able to put the lid over the base.
