GRADUATION CEREMONY AT NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF MODERN LANGUAGES
The first cohort of the Social & Creative Incubation Program began
at NUML Islamabad in March 2019 and was concluded on August
2019. A total of 100 teams applied for enrolment in the program.
Out of these 100 teams, 20 teams were enrolled and incubated.
As per the evaluation criteria, 15 teams graduated successfully
from the program.
On Septemeber-2019 graduation ceremony was held at the
NUML, Islamabad. Mr. Asad Umer, Former Finance Minister was
the Chief Guest for the event.
While addressing the audience, Mr. Asad Umer appreciated CGI’s
efforts for contributing towards fostering an entrepreneurial culture
in NUML and striving for the betterment of Pakistan in turn.
The occasion was graced with the presence of Mr. Asad Umer,
Former Minister Finance, Major General (R) Muhammad Jaffar,
Rector NUML, Brigadier (R) Muhammad Ibrahim, DG NUML, Mr.
Gulfam Baghoor, Director ORIC, Mr. Mustafa Minhas, Chairman
CGI, Mr. Imran Jattala, Co-Founder CGI, Deans & HODs and
students of all the departments, in addition to 50+ esteemed
guests from academia and industry.

The program comprised of 16 Training Modules & Industrial Meet
ups. The curriculum preached during the sessions was developed
by CGI and reviewed and approved by Cranfield School of
Management & Leadership. Sustainable Development for Policy
Institute- SDPI is the Monitoring & Evaluation Partner for the
program. The Social & Creative Incubation Program is powered by
British Council Pakistan.
Out of the total 15 graduating startups, Roads Un travelled (Best
Startup), Unified Generation (Most Impactful Startup) and
Paprecious (Best Women Led Startup) were awarded special
token of appreciation respectively based on their performance.

GRADUATION CEREMONY AT LAHORE COLLEGE FOR WOMEN UNIVERSITY
The first cohort of the Social & Creative Incubation Program began
at Lahore College for Women University in March 2019 and was
concluded on August 2019. A total of 150 teams applied for
enrolment in the program. Out of these 150 teams, 20 teams were
enrolled and incubated. As per the evaluation criteria, 9 teams
graduated successfully from the program.
On September 15, 2019 graduation ceremony was held at the
LCWU. Mr. Nabeel Qadeer a Pakistani Entrepreneur, television
anchor, content producer & host of Pakistan's First Business
Reality Show Idea Coror ka was the chief guest. In addition to Mr.
Nabeel Qadeer the occasion was graced with the presence of Ms.
Farkhanda Manzoor, Director ORIC LCWU, Deans, HODs, and
Industry representatives.
The following under given startups have successfully graduated
from LCWU under Social & Creative Incubation Program Cohort I.
Out of the total 9 graduating startups, Hometech and Commix
(Best Startups), and Leaf Snap (Most Innovative Startup) were
awarded special token of appreciation respectively based on their
performance.

SoCreative Hackathon
After the successful completion of Cohort-I, Team CGI agreed to
double their energies and efforts in contributing towards our
fostering an entrepreneurial culture in NUML.
For enrolling startups in the second cohort CGI partnered with IBM
for SoCreative Hackathon. After a successful campaign of one
month we received 200+ applications at NUML. 94 teams were
shortlisted for participating in SoCreative Hackathon powered by
IBM. Startups were engaged for a full day on September 25, 2019
where IBM gave a session on building a chat bot followed by the
actual task of building a chat bot for their respective businesses.
To keep the startups energized and charged up our Cohort-I
startups Raptures, a sufi band performed after the lunch break. At
the end of the day startups presented their chat bots and business
ideas to a panel of Judges comprising of IBM, B ICON, CGI and
NUML Faculty.
Based on the evaluation of judges, IBM awarded goody bags to 3
startups Genius Developers, Dominators and Trade
Interlinkers. Also, based on the performance of these startups in
the hackathon 40 startups have been shortlisted to present their
business ideas to a selection committee in October before their
final enrolment in the Social & Creative Incubation Program.
