- Granularity of ISSN assignment,
- Better definition of digital serials and continuing
resources,
- Revision of the metadata included in ISSN
requests,
- Use of ISSN in the linked data environment,
- New agreement between ISO Central Secretariat
and the ISSN International Centre as Registration
Authority for ISSN.

- WG5 to answer comments from member bodies
on the 5th version,
- Systematic review to be officially launched,
