2. OVERVIEW
On February 3, 2010, Bibliomist
announced the names of the participating
raion and city libraries. Located in every
oblast across Ukraine, these libraries are
the first of Ukraine’s public libraries to
receive technology and training through
the Bibliomist program. In each oblast,
one raion or city library was selected to
be equipped with computers for free
public access to the internet. In addition
to the winning library, three to seven
branch libraries in each raion or city will
be equipped.
Each oblast will receive 15 computers to
be distributed among participating
libraries.
3. RESULTS
120 public libraries throughout
Ukraine will be equipped with
computers through the
Bibliomist incubator stage;
375 computers will be
delivered and installed in
public libraries;
This represents an estimated
USD 400,000 equipment
investment in Ukraine’s public
libraries.
