2. Investhill invests in sustainable businesses with high potential of growth and sustainable busi-
nesses that promote sustainable technologies and innovation in all economic sectors, including
agribusiness/agro-industry, financial services, ICT services, business solutions, tourism/
hospitality/leisure, creative industry, retail & wholesale, healthcare, education, infrastructure,
manufacture, mining and more. Investhill offers to provide capital/financing (financial, material
and intellectual) to investment candidates enterprises (enterprise in creation and existing en-
terprises opening doors to investment capital) to generate positive responsible risk-adjusted
returns, improve access to affordable (basic) products/services, create jobs, and unleash human
and geographic potentials.
Investment Criteria
Geographic Focus
Investhill focus to invest primary in investment opportunities in the DRC and Africa. Secondly
with growth or in some cases, when necessary, Investhill will also invest in investment opportu-
nities beyond DRC and Africa.
Enterprise Stage
Investhill focus to invest in enterprises at creation or development stage (early stage/seed,
startups and expansion-stage enterprises).
Industry Focus
Investhill has a broad industry focus. Investhill focus primary on small sustainable businesses
with high potential of growth and small businesses that allow to promote sustainable technol-
ogy and innovation in all economic sectors including agribusiness and agro-industry, financial
services, ICT services/business solutions, tourism/hospitality/leisure, creative industry, retail &
wholesale, healthcare, education, infrastructure, manufacture, mining and more.
Investment Size
Investhill invests USD 100 000 to USD 1 000 000 in each portfolio enterprise, generally in two or
more rounds based on the accomplishment of milestones by the portfolio enterprise. Investhill
may increase the investment size to a superior amount depending on its capital base growth
and development or in some cases depending on the investment opportunity. Investhill may
also group investment opportunities of small sizes to fit Investhill investment size.
Type of Investment
Investhill makes capital investments in equity and loan, primary in private equity, real estate,
commodities, …etc; and secondly in debt and equity securities.
Investment Term
The anticipated time for holding an investment is three to seven years, or more depending on
the investment. In addition, in some cases depending on the investment opportunity and cir-
cumstances the investment term may also be of less than three years.

3. Exit Scenarios
Exit from portfolio enterprise is carried out according to a specific plan prepared, for sole-
investment or co-investment together with all other co-investors.
Co-investment
Investhill invests as a sole investor or co-investor depending on the investment opportunity.
Investhill may invest as part of an investment syndicate or co-invest in a round led by another
investor. In cases where the required investment exceeds Investhill maximum investment size,
Investhill can identify other financial institutions, individuals and investors to co-finance the
project.
Investment Instruments
Investhill is flexible in the investment instruments it can use. Depending on the needs of the
different businesses and investment candidates, instruments that Investhill can deploy include
equity capital, loans, and other mezzanine instruments.
Technical Assistance and Operational Support
In addition to equity and loan investments, Investhill can provide tailor-made technical assis-
tance or operational support to its actual and potential portfolio enterprises at no cost or as a
repayable interest free loan to the enterprises. In some cases, in agreement with the invest-
ment candidate, the technical assistance/operational support can be considered as part of the
venture capital that is invested by Investhill.
The technical assistance/operational support services covered are diverse, and may include:
 Preparation of business plan or feasibility studies
 Recruitment and training of management and personnel
 Legal assistance for business formation or reorganization (but not litigation)
 Implementation of customized accounting or information systems (including internet)
 Engineering or other technical services to create or enhance production or distribution
of products or services
 Development of marketing plans and related market research
 Enhancement of the development impact in the businesses' immediate community
 Administrative and office support
 and more.
