helped farmers. The current project in place is Mazzican for quality Milk.
4. Introduction of Mazzican
In 2009 EADD in collaboration with Heifer International
,Global Good, Kenya Dairy Board and Government of kenya
designed a project in Rift Valley, to help farmers transport
and store milk that explores the opportunity for invention to
improve the livelihoods of small holder dairy farmers
They worked closely with farmers across the region to
undertake a value chain assessment
Gap analysis suggested a focus on milk quality and enabling
value addition by farmers as an opportunity for technology
innovation

1. Already we have penetrated in kenya and distributed over
12,000 Mazzican till to date both through Ngos,County
Government and parastatals,cooperatives.
2. Appoint distributors in Eastern Africa
3. Ensure that the overall goal of Milk quality distribution and
storage is implemented not only in kenya but Africa as a
whole.
4. Empower rural Dairy farm to increase there income generation
through dairy farming
16. Conclusion
• Through Maziwa Zaidi Research Development, Ashut can be able to
empower Rural dairy farms and help community handle milk in
proper standards.
• If today we partner and work together with Government of Tanzania,
Stakeholders of Tanzania Mazzican will be a Happy song to
Farmers.
• Join ties with international dairy stakeholders including Association
of East Africa Dairy Stakeholders (EADAS) in Tanzania and
Regulators on board to increase Milk Production
• Partner in Agriculture Trade Shows including annual milk promotion
weeks in Tanzania
• Conduct training and demonstration on the use of Mazzican through
Field shows in Tanzania.
• To assist in coordinating the training of milk producers in practical
aspects of quality milk production, Storage and Transportation
