3. • Space Technology Institute (STI) is a key research
institute on space technology belongs to Vietnamese
Academy of Science and Technology (VAST).
• STI is responsible for fundamental and advance
researches related to space science and technology;
researching and developing small satellite
technology; planning and implementing independent
science technology programs involving space
technology.
4. • The first remote sensing satellite VNREDSat-1
launched on 7th May, 2013

8. • An important task is Space Education and raising the
awareness of social community.
• As a member of Space Education and Awareness
Group of APRSAF (Asia Pacific Regional Space Agency
Forum), Space Technology Institute have carried out
many activities and disseminated knowledge about
space science and technology nationwide.
