MID-CENTURY MODERN,
MEET THE NEW MILLENNIUM.
The building design incorporates the existing
structure at 17 Dundonald. Built in 1956, the
Commercial Travellers’ Association of Canada
Building is a culturally significant example of
small-scale Modern architecture, and is included
on the city’s inventory of heritage properties.
Designed by Toronto architectural firm Weir
Cripps and Associates, the low, sleek building
features a distinctive grid of solids and voids
with turquoise-hued glazed brick, travertine,
aluminum and concrete cladding, highly
representative of the Modern style popular in
post-war Toronto. This original structure makes
up the base of Totem, adding context, history
and texture to the building’s thoughtful design.

means you don’t even have to go outside to get around town. Step right from the Totem lobby
into Wellesley station, through an exclusive entrance with secure fob access. Who needs a car

Architecture
Totem is unlike anything Toronto has ever seen.
Dynamic, irreverent and bold, it reaches for the sky
in a series of stacked boxes – contemporary cubist
architecture executed to perfection. This isn’t just
another generic glass tower, it’s a rich, thoughtful
addition to the architectural texture of the city.
ICONIC
Totem’s architecture is a nod to Manhattan’s award-winning New Museum, a
showcase for contemporary art, and an icon of urban modernism. Totem combines
elegance and urbanism, movement and modern lines, creating a dynamic
structure that brings a fresh presence to a quaint downtown street, lined
with Victorian homes, Dundonald.

Using a secured fob entry, the residents have direct access to the Wellesley Subway station from the lobby at Totem.
THE CUBE
Jutting boldly over the street, this dark,
dramatic shape draws the eye and engages the
senses. Bold stone cladding that provides a rich
textural counterpoint to the sleek glass and
steel of the rest of the building.

Bold blue “fins” add interest and dimension to the
south elevation of the building, reflecting light in
unique ways, creating angled sightlines from the
inside and exciting visuals from the street.

order, the Purchaser may have requested the Vendor
to construct an additional feature within the unit which
is in the nature of an optional extra. If, as a result of

or Building, the Vendor is not able to construct such
extra, then the Vendor may, by written notice to the
Purchaser, terminate the Vendor’s obligation to

without interest and in all other respects this

  • 3. MID-CENTURY MODERN, MEET THE NEW MILLENNIUM. The building design incorporates the existing structure at 17 Dundonald. Built in 1956, the Commercial Travellers’ Association of Canada Building is a culturally significant example of small-scale Modern architecture, and is included on the city’s inventory of heritage properties. Designed by Toronto architectural firm Weir Cripps and Associates, the low, sleek building features a distinctive grid of solids and voids with turquoise-hued glazed brick, travertine, aluminum and concrete cladding, highly representative of the Modern style popular in post-war Toronto. This original structure makes up the base of Totem, adding context, history and texture to the building’s thoughtful design. your own private subway entrance It’s the ultimate urban location.
