2. Pre-requisite
• Installed Visual Studio 2017 for Windows with C# ASP.NET
Core & Web-related component,
• A Microsoft Azure account.
3. Introduction to Visual Studio 2017
• The First Class fully-featured integrated development
environment (IDE) for Android, iOS, Windows, web, and
cloud development.
• Community free version comes with IntelliSense &
connects to team management tools, such as Microsoft
Team Services or GitHub, that increases developer’s
efficiency & improves the experience.
• Available on Windows & MacOS.
4. Introduction to Visual Studio 2017
Download & Install VS2017
on your PC or Mac if you don’t have one yet.

5. Create a Microsoft Azure Account
If you do not have any Azure account,
click to learn how to create one for FREE here today!
6. Publish First Web Application to Azure
1. After you have installed Visual Studio 2017 (VS2017) with
Web Component, launch it.

2. Once launched VS2017, click “Sign In”.

3. Enter the email of Azure account & follow the steps given
to sign in with your Azure account.

4. Now, you should see your username shown on the right top
corner.

5. Select File -> New -> Project….

6. Choose ASP.NET Core Web Application
7. Enter your project name (Eg. MyFirstWebApp) & click OK.

8. Make sure .NET Core & ASP.NET Core 2.0 in selected.
9. Select “Web Application(Model-View-Controller)” & Click OK

10. After couples of minutes, you should see the screen
below. Click “IIS Express”to test run on your PC.

11. You should see your App is running on a localhost address.

12. Go back to the VS & stop debugging, click “Solution
Explorer” on the right. You should see list of project files.

15. Select Microsoft Azure App Service & Create New
16. Click “Publish”

17. Leave everything as default & click “Create”. Definitely,
you are free to choose your preferred App Name.

18. It takes a while for the deployment preparation.

19. After that, the VS2017 should start publishing.

following message on Output screen & it launches on Browser.
