A. Soil Works
1. Excavation :
Soil excavated volume is 210,000
cubic meter to be considered for
both process & ancillaries areas
of works.
2. Pilling Works :
Total no. for executed piles is
1519 pile with average
approximate length 28 meter
under ground.
B. Concrete Works
Total amount of concrete
consumed to construct 2 units
of silos with all ancillary
buildings is equal to 95,000 m3.
C. Steel Structure works
Total weights for installed steel
structure works are equal to
1550 ton
D. Storage Capacity
Project storage capacity is equal to
120,000 ton of wheat .
This capacity is represented in 72 Silos
each silo can store 1,666 ton of wheat.
Wheat cycle passes on a lot of process like elevating , separation , cleaning
, weighing ... Etc.
• Elevating System (bucket elevators) : 8 bucket elevators are installed
with average height 65 m , 3 with height 30 m , 3 with height 12 m.
All with elevating speed 1000 ton/hr to elevate the wheat for
complete its cycle.
• Magnetic Drum System : The process for separation of metals from
the wheat.
• Pre-Cleaning System : The process for cleaning the wheat from the
solid particles and any defects.
• Pre-Tempering System : The process of adding water to wheat before
milling aids in producing consistent and good quality for finished
flours.
• Central Vacuum System : The process used for collect & separate dust
& small particles from wheat grains.
E. Process Used Systems
• Aspiration System : The process of collecting dust to cover all wheat
cycle from elevating and conveying process .
• Ventilation System : The system used for draw out the heat, humidity
and condensation of the wheat inside silos to save it from growing
bacteria.
• Electronic Weighs : There are 2 types of weighs are used for the
process of weigh the wheat before storage and during out-loading :
1. Electronic weighs : 2 with capacity 200 ton/hr are installed in
HH2 and 1 with capacity 1000 ton/hr is installed in HH1.
2. Out-Lead weighs : 6 weighs are installed in truck loading
buildings with average capacity 90 ton/hr.
• Pneumatic system & Compressed Air System : The process of Auto-
control of gates.
E. Process Used Systems
Conveyors that used in cycle of wheat flow
is classified to 2 types :
1. Belt-Conveyors : with total linear
meter 1065 meter & capacity 1000
ton/hr
2. Chain-Conveyors : with total linear
meter 940 meter.
F. Process Conveyors
G. SHIP UNLOADERS
2 ship unloader is
constructed on port quay
on a steel rail for flexible
movement and to increae
the served area
Each ship unloader has :
• Max unloading capacity
650 ton/hr.
• Boom length is 28.5
meter.
H. Electrical Works
Cables :
Pulled MV cables 4.30 KM.
Pulled LV cables 1308 KM.
Pulled Control cables 218 KM.
Generators :
7 Generators each one with feeding power
about 2.5 MVA to feed with total power 17.5
MVA to operate the factory in emergency status.
Synchronization panels & Switchgears :
2 Sync panels.
5 Switch-gears.
2 Ring main units.
A 3 types of fire suppression systems is installed
:
1. Fire Extinguishers : used in admin buildings.
2. FM200 : used in electrical substations.
3. Foam System : used in fuel tanks structures.
I. Firefighting Works
Automation works can be classified as :
• Cables:
Linear meter for pulled control cables reached to 218
KM.
• Temp. sensors = 216 sensor.
• Leveling sensors = 240 sensor.
• G. Sensors & devices = 3000 sensor & devise.
• Junction & sub-junction boxes = 2080 box.
