This document discusses enabling education for sustainable development (ESD) through local actions and connecting local initiatives to global SDG platforms. It proposes creating a local "actions for the future" platform to connect local offers, projects, and events related to learning about and taking action on the SDGs. The platform could highlight local ESD opportunities for students, teachers and communities and support a local fellowship and accelerator program. It asks how to involve more regional partners and residents, ensure ESD/sustainable development quality, and recognize contributing individuals, projects and organizations to appreciate their work. The overall aim is to enable local participation in the SDGs and link local learning and actions to global SDG campaigns.
