Pictures – Front
Cover Pictures This is the picture that I was going to use for my front
cover at first, however the picture didn’t match or
follow the conventions of a typical magazine and also It
didn’t match my exact criteria of what I wanted for my
front cover as the headline was “East Meets West” so I
wanted a picture that the reader could interpret and
think that the picture is showing that both singers are
coming together from different sides of the world.
This is the picture which I initially used for my front
cover, the reason I chose to use this picture was
because the picture is bold, also both people in the
pictures have intense looks, the picture also represents
that both of them are not in any kind of confrontation
it signifies that both of them are actually standing
together trying to break a barrier that is coming
between them. They also show this by looking into the
camera giving the connotation that they are both
serious and quite determined.

3. Magazine Pictures –
Contents Page
This is the picture which at first I decided to use for my
contents page, however after long time planning my
contents page I decided that this picture wasn’t suitable for
my contents page, the reason for this is because it doesn’t
represent a typical contents page picture, what I mean by
this is that in a contents page there is one large picture on
the page which attracts the readers eye and also signifies
the reason behind the picture.
After doing some planning I came to a decisions
that I would use this picture, the reason I decided
to use this picture was because firstly it shows
what I am looking for, as it has one person in the
picture, which will make the reader only see the
musician in the picture which will help as the story
on the contents will connect and represent this
picture.
