Introduction
 Smoking is the one of the worst thing
that kids or adults can to their bodies.
 Yet every single day nearly 4,400 kids
between the age 12 and 17 start
smoking.
What is Smoking?
 It is a practice in which a substance, most
commonly tobacco, is burned and the smoke is
tasted or inhaled and then, exhaled.
 The most common method of smoking today is
through cigarettes.
What Happens?
 A cigarette contains substance called nicotine,
that gives pleasure to smokers. Nicotine is a
poison.
 The scientist say that nicotine can kill a person
when taken in large amount.
Statistics
 Around 6.5 trillion cigarettes are sold around the world each year. which
translates to roughly 18 billion cigarettes per day.
 There are one billion smokers in the world.
 Around 80% of the world's 1 billion smokers live in low- and middle-
income countries.
 40% of men and 27% percent of women are smokers.
 Globally, tobacco causes six million deaths per year. That's one death
every five seconds. Of the total number of deaths, 600,000 are among
non-smokers who had been exposed to secondhand smoke
 By 2030, if the trend continues, the number of deaths will rise to eight
million.
Why Do People Smoke?
 All their friend do it.
 Peer pressure.
 To lose weight.
 They smoke because there parents smoke.
 It helps them to relax.

Advantage And Disadvantage
 Smoking lower risk of knee-replacement surgery(in 2007 according to the
research of university of Adelaide in Australia) men who smoked 48 year or
more were up to 51% less likely to undergo total joint replacement than those
who never smoke.
 Some people that are lived in the snow area that are used smoking to make
the temperature of the body is warm.
 Smoking sometimes assist your mind to think efficiently.
 Due to similarities other smokers are inclined to you. Some of them can also
be proven as your good friends.
 Smoking lowers risk of Parkinson’s disease( According to (AAON) American
Academy of Neurology People who smoked for 40 or more year where 46%
less likely to develop Parkinson’s disease then people who never smoked.
Advantage And Disadvantage
 First of all addiction of anything is bad. And cigarettes compel you to
become it’s addict.
 As a usual compliment “it’s bad for health”.
 A common chain-smoker inevitably spends 100,000 at least on
cigarettes.
 People around smokers feel uncomfortable unless they are the one.
 Smoking also cause some change in voice and sort of indefinite
smell.
 some people do not have money to purchase drug. he use illegal
way to purchase drug.

being diagnosed is less than 1 in 5.

Smoking can cause blockages and narrowing in your arteries, which means

The effects of smoking not only impact mom's health, but also that of her
baby. Smoking while pregnant can cause babies to be born prematurely
and/or with a low birth-weight. Babies born too early or too small have
increased risk of health complications and even death.

Smoking in Islam
 A general rule of the Islamic Shariah is that it is
harm for the Muslim to eat or drink anything which
may cause his death, either quickly or gradually,
such as a poison or substance which are injurious
to health or harmful to his body.
 Shariah also prohibits the wastegate of money.
Verses (Ayat)
 And do not Kill yourselves; indeed, Allah is ever Merciful
to you. >>(Quran 4,29)
 And do not be cast into ruin by your own
hand…>>(Quran 2,195)
 But spend not wastefully(your wealth) in the manner of a
spendthrift, Verily, Spendthrifts are brothers of the devils,
and the devil is ever ungrateful to his lord..>>(Quran 17-
26-27)
Islamic Point of View
 As an application of this principal, it is prove that the use
of tobacco is injurious to health; it is prohibited in Islam,
especially for a person who physician has advice him to
stop smoking.
 Even if it is not injurious to health, it is still a waste of
money, spent neither for religious nor for secular benefit,
and the Prophet (PBUH) forbade the wasting of wealth.
So,
ISLAM doesn’t allow any
one to smoke…!!!
Smoking Kills Your life that travel in
the form of Cigarette, Cigars,
Etc.
And….
Stop Smoking!!!
How To Quit Smoking?
 Reduce the quantity you use daily life (E.g. you use daily 5
cigarette reduce it to 2 or 3 )
 Set a quit date.
 Tell family, friends that you plan to quit.
 Anticipate & plan for the challenges you’ll face will smoking.
 Remove cigarettes & tobacco from your home, car, and your
pocket.
 Talk to your Dr. about getting help to quit.
Reasons for Quit Smoking?
 Live longer
 Save Money Because Smoking is Expensive.
 Breathe Easier
 Smoking Kills
 You friend and family Will be healthier.
 It is prohibited in Islam.
Conclusion
 Smoking causes so many problems.
 People who smoke are not only harming themselves, but they are harming
other innocent people, children's, babies, and our environment
 Now is the time to save lives of people, by making smoking illegal in the
Pakistan.
