• Use mechanical aids.
• Know your capabilities.
• Seek assistance.
• Ensure walkway is clear/free of hazards.
• Break the load into loads if possible.

Protection of work and materials
All items delivered to site should be should be protected from damage.
• Use protective wrapping.
• Store off the floor.
• Ensure storage area is dry.
• Ensure storage area is ventilated.
• Ensure an even temperature in the
storage area.

Protection of client’s work
When work is been carried out for a client, their property must be
protected.
• Cover with cloth and sheets.
• Cover with soft fibreboard.
