Gord joined the Atikokan Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) in 2007 working as the project coordinator for the Atikokan Renewal Committee on a FedNor internship. In 2010 he joined the AEDC permanently as a Community Development Advisor, and has been working for the past six years to develop businesses, not-for-profit groups and implement strategic vision in collaboration with the municipality. Gord has worked with dozens of clients in Atikokan, Upsala and Seine River First Nation to launch a number of successful start-ups, and has worked in part to disburse over $3 million in small business loans and over $400,000 in Ontario self-employment benefit payments to qualified applicants. ...
