> Action Plan
> Monitoring Systems & Feedback
> Feelings & Experiences Inventory
Benefits:
> Develops capacity of decision-making under stressful
situations, discipline, motivation and energy
> Offers clarity about the WHY that guides your actions
4
6. Who You Are
> What are your core values?
> What makes your heart pump
and gets you excited?
> How much of who you are is YOU
or just programmed by society?
> What do you usually think about
when it comes to your career?
The Present: #1 - VISION
What You Want
> What is your passion?
> How about your vocation?
> What are you good at?
> Whose expectations are you
trying to satisfy? Yours or
others’ around?
6
Any goal needs to be in sync with who you truly are
7. Going Even Further
How far do you dare to dream? If
personal growth & contribution
are some of your drivers too,
consider answering these 3 Qs for
better defining your vision:
> What experiences do you want
to have?
> How do you want to grow?
> How do you want to contribute
to this world?
7
8. Defining Vision
Try writing a vision statement with this example:
My Vision is to …(What), so that ...(Why)*
8
*Concept comes from Simon Sinek, whose vision is:
“My why is to inspire people to do the things that inspire them so, together,
each of us can change our world for the better.“

9. Context
Describe in as many details as
possible your current situation.
> What are you satisfied with and
want to keep it in your life?
> What can you improve?
> What can you change?
The Present: #2 - OPPORTUNITIES
Resources
Try to assess any available
resources you have and can help you
in achieving your goal:
> Financial
> People + Network
> Abilities + Talents + Knowledge
> Others …
9
Take a look at your current situation and available resources
10. The Future: #3 - STATEMENT
Now that you know a bit more about yourself and what you truly want, what is
your current situation and what you want to achieve further, you can start by
setting the power goals.
Most used tool for setting goals is the SMART Model, of which you’ve heard for
sure. However, in order to align to the Goals System entirely, I will suggest you
the SMARTer Model first.
There is also the HEART Model, which works pretty well too. You can choose
whichever you like more, their effectiveness is the same.
Or maybe even create your UNIQUE Model.

Time to set the goals
12. EXAMPLE: In 2 years from now, I will be
the manager of the team I am currently

if necessary)

TIPS FOR
SETTING
GOALS – THE
WRITING
17. Get To Work
Yay! Your goals are now set, but they won’t achieve
themselves by magic, right? This is the part were you’ll
want to invest most of your effort in.
If the goal truly matters to you, you’ll need to
set up clear actions to achieve it.

18. Action Plan
18
General
Actions
Monthly/
Weekly
Daily
Start by defining some big steps
that get you closer to the goal.
For our example Develop
Leadership Skills & Knowledge
Chunk the big actions into smaller ones, so
you can monitor progress better.
For our example Participate to one
training/webinar every 3 months, have
weekly meetings with the team . . .
What actions can you take daily?
For our example Be kind to
the team, observe myself in
different situations, be
professional . . .
19. “Success is the sum of
small efforts – repeated
day in and day out.”
- Robert Collier
19
21. Measure
Go on and monitor your progress weekly or even daily
(depends on the nature of the goal). Always pay attention
to red flags or situations that didn’t go as planned.
”What gets measured, gets improved.” - Peter Drucker
21
22. Monitor Your Actions & Progress
Week 1 Week 2 Week 3
Action 1 done
Done, but not
as expected
done
Action 2 done
Partially
done
planned
Action 3 done skipped planned
22
23. Yourself
The process MATTERS.
Check your feelings from time to
time, new perspectives and insights
the process may provide.
Are you getting more excited as you
approach the goal or are you
overwhelmed, exhausted, afraid?
Feedback
Others involved
How are others seeing your process?
How does it change you in their
perspective?
Be ready to hear not so great things
as well and appreciate their honesty.
Learn to be respectful when you get
feedback and find solutions for what
needs to be improved.
23
24. “When you ask people
for advice, you validate
their intelligence or
expertise, which makes
you more likely to win
them over.”
24
26. Redefining Goals
Unpredictable happens. We change directions, sometimes
even desires. Thus, it is normal for a goal not to be of
interest at some point even after you started the process.
Review, Redefine, Rephrase
26
27. “It isn’t about the goal,
but how you want to feel.
Do something every day
that gives you that
feeling.”
- Danielle LaPorte
27
28. 28
Danielle believes that we should all be guided by 4-6 core feelings that
bring us that fulfillment. Think about your goals and add to each one
the phrase:
This is what I want because I want to feel…
Then identify those feelings that appear many times.
• What other activities and habits give you that feeling?
• Which ones forbid you from being fulfilled?
• What can you do daily for enjoying your core desired feelings?
