**R.A.s cannot exchange shifts with a staff
member who is not part of their duty
rotation***
Example: RA in Magnolia cannot exchange
duty with an RA in Pines

6.  The R.A. is to have the Duty Phone at all
times.
-keep it at all times (just a reminder!)
- in class turn phone on vibrate
- Don’t leave class if it rings
-Follow up on call after class is over
 Emergencies during business day…

7. -RAs NOT allowed to…

8.  Weekend Duty
- 48 Availability
-Friday at 7:00p.m.-Sunday at
7:00p.m.
-Can retrieve fast food during
day

9.  R.A.s Meet between 7:00p.m.-8:00p.m.
 R.A. on Duty
- Put Name/Picture on bulletin board.
-Have Duty Phone AT ALL TIMES.
-NEVER LEAVE IT In the Room.
-Notify Campus Safety you are on Duty.
-R.A. on Duty must wear name tag while
doing rounds at night.

Open 24 hours a day…unless there are
noise complaints.

-Basic procedures concerning use of keys
apply to all residence halls.
-Sub mast keys will be kept in key cabinet
-Restricted to Res Life Staff ONLY
-If Lost or Misplaced..
-Entire building staff will be held
accountable
Cost of replacing sub master keys and locks…
-If negligence can be determined
-If irresponsible/ poor judgment = fined or
termination

16.  Sub master Key Use
-Unlock Student Room if locked out
*Residence Life Staff Member must accompany student to
unlock room door*
-Never Allow Student To Use Sub master
-No other person should be allowed in resident
room without written permission by resident
to Head Staff member
