4. Justification of adaptation of the costing tool
• Why is important to adapt the costing tool?:
– Because we need a tool that articulates the mandate of
public policy with the cost of its implementation.
– Because we need to articulate the mandate of the law with
the competencies of GGAA.
• What do we want to cost?: The implementation of public
policies for the effective exercise of competencies.
• How does costing contributes to gender equality policies?: By
identifying the minimum cost for the fulfillment of the rights
established in gender equality policies.

20. RESULTS
• Actors involved in the knowledge management of
costs of services of the Law 348 trough the
implementation of the socialization process of the
costing exercise.
• Results of the costing exercise approved by the
technical committee.
• Allocation of resources in budgets of
corresponding public instances regarding the set
costs for the implementation of the Law 348.
• Strategic alliances with head of sector instances.
21. DIFFICULTIES
• The tool introduces key elements that don’t allow
the inclusion of enough data to carry out a costing
process.
• There is not enough information about violence
with the required characteristics (e.g.
disaggregation at municipal level).
22. • To complete and consolidate a Costing Computing
System for gender policies.
o Coherence matrix (political guidelines).
o Goals and indicators for the reduction of gaps.
o Tools for estimating costs.
• To have budget classifying tools that allow the
identification of expense in gender.
