This paper analyzes the ideological doctrine of Hizb ut-Tahrir's British branch from 2001-2013 regarding three issues: the principle of jihad, views on Western democracy, and the integration of Muslims in British society. The analysis compares the British branch's stances to other Muslim movements and the founding doctrine, exploring potential influences from events like terrorist attacks and the Arab Spring. By analyzing the branch's magazine, the study finds shifts in views of jihad but consistency in rejecting democracy and integration.

5. Abstract
This paper analyzes the ideological doctrine Hizb ut-Tahrir` British branch from the
year 2001 until late 2013 with respect to three main issues: the principle of
Jihad, the Western Democratic System and the Muslim's integration into British
society. During the analysis, I will explore the British branch's variety of stances
regarding these issues, whilst comparing them with various other outlooks and
movements within the Muslim world, and with the original perception of Taqi
al-Din al-Nabhani, who founded the Middle Eastern main organization in the
early 1950's. During the explored time period in this paper, a number of global
events plausibly able to influence the British branch`s stances on
aforementioned issues occurred, e.g. the 09/11/2001 terrorist attacks in the
USA, the 7/7/2005 terrorist attacks in London, the 2011 developments within
the Arab world coined 'the Arab spring', and the British election campaigns.
Analyzing the contents of the Khilafah magazine, the British branch's
mouthpiece, one can indicate attitudinal shifts and changes with regards to the
Jihad principle, but also a firm, steadfast standing of the existing approach
towards the fields of democracy and integration.
