 The IT sector is the most active area in the Wellington job market, with
  nearly 400 vacancies advertised on job seeker site Trade Me Jobs
 "There is really a shortage of particular skills in the IT space. More
  Wellington employers are more keen to look overseas, which is obviously
  a sign we don't have enough available skills in New Zealand." (Pinnacle
  Recruitment Wellington manager Diana Palezevic)
 IT jobs had the highest salaries of all jobs listed on Trade Me with;
     IT architects paid more than $130,000
     Project managers paid almost $125,000
     IT managers paid more than $117,000

 A common theme in both local and global markets points to a steadily increasing

 Seek ICT ads for Canterbury have significantly increased this month for all
  languages; e.g. Java by 47.6%, and for DBA/Developer with Oracle up by 19.6%
  and SAP up by 29%
 According to Trademe jobs the IT sector is the most active area (field) in the
  Wellington job market (Seek ICT job ads for Wellington decreased by 5.5% this
  month)
 The base median salary for Wellington, according to the Absolute IT
  Remuneration Report, is the highest for all regions at $80,000
