3. INTRODUCTION
Water is one of our basic needs. Water pumps move water from point a to point b
for centuries. Modern pumps require electricity and ancient pumps require more
efforts to operate. Therefore Veljko Milkovic came with the concept of pendulum
based water pump.
5. OBJECTIVES
To design and develop the structure for pumping water using pendulum
principle.
To reduce human efforts.
To achieve continuous discharge of water through pump.
To ensure safe operation of the pump.
6. MATERIAL SELECTION
Material Selection Factors
Availability of materials.
Suitability of materials for the working condition in service.
Cost of the materials.
Physical and chemical properties of materials.
Mechanical properties of materials.
10. CONCLUSIONS
Simply designed and developed the structure for
pumping water using pendulum principle.
Getting continuous flow of water through pump.
Pumping of water can be done safely.
Easy for maintenance and hence less maintenance
cost.
Children, adults as well as handicapped people can
use this pump.
