Criminal Justice Clients” article located on the National Criminal Justice Reference

Use the“Effective Treatment for Addicted Criminal Justice Clients” article as a sample
for how to write a behavior plan. The “Case Study” section near the end of the article
provides a good example of a behavior plan.
Choose one behavioral theory from your course textbook.
Choose oneof the following case studies from the University of Phoenix Material:
Individual Case Studies, located on the student website:
 Case One: Violet
 Case Two: Max
 Case Three: Onur
Complete the University of Phoenix Material: Behavior Plan Template based on your
selected behavioral theory for your selected case-study patient—Violet, Max, or Onur.
Incorporate one peer-reviewed research study as justification for the theory you used
in your plan.
Format your plan consistent with APA guidelines.

presentation.

 Your rationale explaining why each intervention can be used in both a
community and correctional setting

Read the four case studies in the University of Phoenix Material: Systems and
Multicultural Case Studies located on the student website.
Write a 700- to 1,050-word paper that integrates all four case studies. Address the

 Define systems theory.
 Define multicultural approaches
 Compare each case study by doing the following:
o Identify the approaches—systems, multicultural, or a combination of
both—you would use for each case study.
o Describe why one approach would work for one case and not for other

Paper
Part I: Resource File
Reflect on your previous assignments and the concepts, theories, and approaches
you have learned about throughout the course.
Create a resource file to use in your future classes and in your career that includes
the following:
 Aone-sentence summary of each of the following major theories:
o Psychotherapy
o Therapeutic
o Behavioral
o Cognitive
o Systems
o Multicultural
 At least two intervention strategies for each theory
 When the strategies should be used
 The type of client or setting where the strategy would work best
Be creative with this section of the assignment. Some possible ways the resource file
can be presented are in a file folder, flash cards, poster, paper, handout, presentation,
or a job aid.
Part II: Personal Theory Paper
Write a 350- to 700-word paper where you create your own intervention theory. You
may combine theories or you can invent a completely new theory.
Include the following in your paper:
 Explain your personal theory and why you believe in it.
 Describe the theories and theorists that you relate to the best and why.
 What surprised you most about the theories learned in class and why?
Format your paper consistent with APA guidelines.

Develop, individually, a criminal justice case study that involves the need for an
intervention. Include enough detail in your hypothetical case study that another team
member could create a behavior plan based on the information provided.
Exchange your scenario with one member of your Learning Team.
Outline, individually, a behavior plan based on the scenario received from your
Learning Team member.
Discuss, as a team, each team member’s scenarios and plans, providing feedback to
one another on the behavior plans for each scenario. Determine if team members
would have created similar plans or different plans for each scenario and why.
