Rationale
Action Research in Education provides a vast landscape of knowledge on the many
factors considered variable to improving schools. It usually ensures that both school leaders and
teachers are constantly informed of any changes that occur particularly those involving their
techniques of service delivery, hence, ensuring that the learning is abreast with the changing
times as well as the methods of learning.
DepEd Order NO. 16, s. 2017 or the Research Management Guidelines (RMG) provides
guidance in managing research initiatives in the national, regional, schools’ division and school
levels. With this policy, the Department of Education continues to promote and strengthen the
cultures of research in basic education
Program or Course Description
This is a three-day workshop-based activity that will focus on the development of an
Action Research. The Project Proposal Sheets as the major final output will be used as basis for
presentation in the District Research Congress.

District Research Congress for benchmarking.

1. Diagnose problems or weaknesses, whether organizational, academic, or
instructional.
2. Help school Heads and School Research Coordinator develop practical solutions to
address problems quickly and efficiently.
3. Generate knowledge around inquiry in practical educational contexts.

It usually ensures that both school leaders and teachers are constantly informed of any changes that occur particularly those involving their techniques of service delivery, hence, ensuring that the learning is abreast with the changing times as well as the methods of learning. DepEd Order NO. 16, s. 2017 or the Research Management Guidelines (RMG) provides guidance in managing research initiatives in the national, regional, schools’ division and school levels. With this policy, the Department of Education continues to promote and strengthen the cultures of research in basic education Program or Course Description This is a three-day workshop-based activity that will focus on the development of an Action Research. The Project Proposal Sheets as the major final output will be used as basis for presentation in the District Research Congress.
