If you don't know what to ask, you don't know how to ship freight like a pro. Here are five questions to ask before you ship freight. https://goo.gl/4A3spJ
2. Why does freight cost so much more?
Freight Classification
Density … AND
Stow-ability
Handling
Liability
Density
Pounds per Cubic Feet
Shipping freight is not like hiring a moving company or
taking your package to the post office. A carrier uses one of
two methods to calculate their cost of moving your freight:
3. Will a freight carrier carry my goods inside?
Not unless you pay for an additional white glove service fee, which
is not available with every carrier. Standard LTL service requires
the driver to drop your pallet by the curb or at a dock.
4. Is my pickup date guaranteed?
Appointments for pickup and delivery may cost extra, depending
on the carrier you choose and their capacity at that time. Ask
for guaranteed service if delays are unacceptable to you.

5. How do I get a discount on freight?
When you work with a third-party logistics provider like FreightCenter,
you expect to pay less than you would going directly to the carrier.
And, you’re right. When you use FreightCenter, you’re automatically
saving money based on our volume, not just yours.
6. Should I insure my freight?
If your cargo is valuable or otherwise irreplaceable, you should insure it.
The carrier has limited liability and you could receive very little
reimbursement if you don’t buy additional cargo insurance.
