They own magazines such as NME and Guitar.
4. Uses and Gratifications Theory Uses and Gratifications theory is a popular approach to understanding mass communication. The theory tries to make people choose and decide for themselves on what magazines they would like to buy. It helps the viewers and the audiences to bring media into their lives. The basic model of the theory is that people read the media for a particular reason. However there is a lot of criticism as many people do not believe that the viewers have control of the media.
